Angelina wrote this at 13. At that point she had lost two grandfathers, her friend Ari Behn had committed suicide and her friend and musical associate still in his 20's Avicii commits suicide. Yeah, I'm thinking she has been through enough to sing this song with total perspective. More than the listening audience, likely.

"When I was child - she still is a child". When she was 8 she told Rosie O'Donnell she started singing when she was very young. I think we need to start realizing she lives in Angelina years, similar to dog years.

this version of this song is not on her albumn. this is the third video for this song. the first video was the "official lyric video" which was animated drawings that Angelina and he grandmother had drawn. the second video, the official video is a standard video . this version, the ( live in studio ) is the best one.. the music is more simple yet more elegant and just fits the song more in my opinion. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE ANGELINA SING THIS VERSION OF THIS SONG ON THE STAGE AT THE GRAMMYS !!! SHE DESERVES TO BE ON THAT STAGE AS MUCH AS ANYONE !!!!!!!!

I mean,a 15 y.o isn't exactly a child. Also, there's nothing wrong if a teen is singing about their childhood years as strange as that may seem. AJ is singing about childhood memories she had of her paternal grandfather who passed away in 2018.

👩🏻🎤🎵🌎⭐️🇳🇴❤️ Angelina wrote this beautiful song as a tribute to her maternal grandfather, who passed away in November, 2019. She said, "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine."

Angelina keeps getting better and better! I don't think that she puts in things that are very difficult in order to show how skilled she is, it's just what ever is needed to tell the story and express the feelings. Angelina defines empathy - I found this quote by Brené Brown "Empathy is that incredibly healing message of 'You're not alone' "

There are now two versions to choose from (three counting the lyrics only version). The live studio version and the recently released music video are both good, but IMHO the studio version is a much better audio version - cleaner instrumentation.

Angelina as always is incredible!! You also have an amazing voice. You remind me of Richie Havens at Woodstock singing Freedom.( Richie Havens - Freedom at Woodstock 1969 (HD) Do you sing or do any voice work? You have an awesome voice for radio or to read childrens books or something if you don't sing.

I was surprised you hadn't reacted to this yet. Looks like you also missed her second release '7th Heaven'. 4 versions most recent music video kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6OvmoqsrN-VeaM Her first Jazz creation and Brilliant as usual! Then check out the rendition 'When You Believe' set as a soundtrack to clips from the Animated Movie 'The Prince of Egypt' kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJjWgYBod6qmp80 It puts the song in context very nicely and shows you her potential to do soundtracks for major movie blockbusters! She is no longer the little barefoot Princes of Music, Nop. With this she has just taken her rightful place as the Queen Of Music. At 15 to wright and sing like this, The industry should be ashamed to have put that Trash on display in the last Awards and say its the Best they have. As to the words and meaning Here is Her explanation of the Words from her Fanpage; "This song is dedicated to anyone who has lost a loved one. I wrote this song thinking about all the great memories I had with my grandpa and how much it hurts to lose someone. I hope this song finds a place in your heart, as it comes straight from mine".
