My 88 yr old mom used to make a "BBQ beef" sandwich when I was growing up. The back story is she would make it with her dad. Finally got the spice blend from her - cumim, allspice, clove, garlic. She'd always serve it on a crunchy French roll with mustard. This reminds me of that.

@Mr. Make It Happen- just made this for the family and it was a hit!!! Bro, you knocked it out of the park with this recipe. The only change i made was i used pork instead of beef and i couldn't find the Italian Paste so i substituted with pesto, but everything else was exactly the same. This is definitely a keeper! Keep up the great work bro. I've made a couple of your recipes and they never disappoint.

I use chuck all the time for everything from roast to Flautas cooked in the Instant pot. The only thing I find wrong wit it, is you hafta sear it in smaller batches than what you would in your pan, which i plan to cop here in the next couple of months. Starting a new career out on the barges, so that money I make will allow me these type purchases

OMG!!! I made this the other day, and it was soooooooo good. I am not too fond of the mayo, but it was really tasty. Today, I used the leftovers from the other day and this time I used plant-based butter instead of mayo. It was so good that the sandwich did not fall apart, and the cheese was so gooey. I also added banana peppers to add so heat. I can say this recipe is a HIT and I will use this for my summer BBQs this year.

Looks yummy! It's a lot of work for a sandwich if you have the time. I took some short cuts and bought packaged BBQ sliced brisket from the supermarket along with French fried onions - and did the rest in a matter of minutes. It was a poor imitation of this creation but it tasted great.
