I di MrMaple, I am getting obsessed with JM trees more and more thanks to you. I received the first order of trees from MrMaple and I am preparing to place my second order. I would like to mention how elegant and professional the packaging is, I am really impressed!

I am just starting out with maples here in the UK. Im digging out a larger pond so trying to find out as much as I can about maples near ponds. I love your videos. They are so inspiring and informative. Opened me up to so many different maples. I now have three young ones in the greenhouse that I rescued off the bargain shelf at B&Q. They won’t be ready to plant out for a while. I’m potting them on first. I have an A. P. Katsura and an A. P. Atropurpureum and I’m really looking forward to getting them into the landscape.

I dig Maples. Weeping Red Laceleafs - Does cutting back the leaf to help reduce size of leaf?

I have currently have two red weeping JMs, an Orangeola and a Red Dragon. The red dragon was the first JM I bought and now I have 15 JM in my landscape and am adding more every year. Like you guys said, the color changes on the Orangeola are amazing. I planted Orangeola next to my back stoop, so every time I leave my house I walk by it. I also like my Red Dragon because stays the beautiful dark red through the hot, humid summers here in Virginia and contrasts well with my other JM. Another great video, full of details, keep up the great work. I dig Mr. Maple!!!

#japanesemaples these maples were staples for the landscape nursery I worked at for a few years. These are such sturdy reliable trees, they never stayed around the nursery very long. The nursery manager planted one of these types in a one gallon by the koi pond roughly 22 years ago and even now it’s barely 5 foot tall but probably 7 ft wife and the fall color is awesome.

Great video again guys. Does having all these varieties indicate that I may be a maple addict? Lol. In my garden Inaba Shidare handles the Australian sun (UV13) in summer the best of them all and keeps its colour the best. For what it’s worth I dig MrMaple. Keep these videos coming please as I love the content.

Orangeola is a great one! The summer colors are really nice and interesting. Had it several years and keep it potted. My parents have a beautiful Crimson Queen also in a pot for many years.

I love your videos great information. I have a question. We purchased a Inaba Shinari last spring. It did well but not too many leaves. We thought the reason was because it was young. This spring it has a lots of leaves but some are green- regular maple tree leaves and Inaba shinari red leaves as well. Is this normal? We are in San Diego California. Thank you

It really just depends on your heat index and how hot it gets in your area. CA can be tricky

How do the finer leaves stand up to winds, we can get 70-80 mph. Low humidity as well.
@MrMapleShow3 ай бұрын
Typically laceleafs do good in windy areas because of their typical lower growth nature. Also, red laceleafs that do well in high heat will do better in high winds because they hold their moister much better. Wind burn and under watering look very similar because the moister is being pulled from the leaves. Thanks for watching.
