Ihave been learning English for three years and I really master this type of conditional it's called the third conditional and it is about something that we did or said and we regret it but really we can't change it . As a native Russian speaker (although I am not from Russia) I can understand why she made some mistakes but as an avid English learner I am slightly confused why she didn't use articles with the USA and the UK (isn't it basics?). Fredy, It could be better if we dedicated.... There is still a chance that something may happen or be true, whereas the structure "it could have been better if we had dedicated...." conveys the idea that there is no possibility anymore, as we can't change the past.

Мost of Marina’s mistakes are are typical mistakes of Russian speakers who have gained vocabulary, but still think in Russian and translate Russian phrases into English on the fly. I catch myself thinking that I would say the same as her. But I don't call myself an English teacher.

Marina shouldn't be afraid of people laughing at her frequent grammatical errors and bad pronunciation; she should just stop teaching English and start teaching Russian. It would be more authentic and effective, since she has poor grammar and non-American pronunciation. Marina ends up teaching wrong to those who don't know they're learning wrong, from her. I think it should be prohibited to teach something we don't yet know how to teach. She is doing very well in learning but not at the level of becoming a teacher.
