Syok gila tengok video ni! Nice breakdown pasal solar panel dan saving potential tu. Memang nampak berbaloi dengan insentif kerajaan skrg ni. Kalau dapat reduce bil elektrik sampai 80% sambil support green energy, siapa taknak kan? Nak tanya, berapa lama ROI lepas install ni kalau rumah usage dalam RM200 sebulan? Thanks for sharing info best ni bro! 🔥

Rain helps with self cleaning?? LMAO!! That has to be the biggest BS i've heard so far. You need routine cleaning for solar panels! Period!!! Additionally MicroInverters has frequent communication issues which see customers opting for string inverters than microinverters
@siawjunan267823 сағат бұрын
1) Raining can help to clean to a certain extend like dust particles. So its more like just an extra advantage Malaysia have 2) Everything have pros & cons, it's just how we prioritise what we need. String inverter overall generation & efficiency is usually lower than microinverter. As an consumer, my first consideration for a solar system would be more savings

Solar panels without battery storage is not the future way to go. Not sure how long TNB allows it's grid with NEM. Huawei SolarFusion is coming peeps... can't wait.

For those who are considering this system, without any batteries, and basically directly selling your electricity to TNB. Please note the following drawback: 1)TNB determines what they will buy the electricity that you produce. If in the future EV and this solar model that sells electricity to TNB becomes too popular, TNB will have to actually reduce the rate that they buy your electricity, cause they have a problem with too many solar producers, and may have to turn off their power plants. Turning on and off a power plant cost money. TNB not in it to lose money too, so you smallest producers are the first to get cut in the rate of power that you produce. This has happen in California and the EU, most famous example is Germany having to pay people to use power. 2) If TNB power goes down, you also lose power, even during day time. Your solar can soak in the sun and be useless. At night, even worse. There are other high level disadvantages to it, but I won't put in here, cause these are the 2 points that have a high correlation to the money you spent for this solar system. So be very sure of the solar package that you are getting is what u can stomach

This is what I'm wondering about. I was talking to a colleague and he doesn't know about the hybrid system setup. He only knows this grid-tie setup like in the video. Hybrid setup is the way to go if you really want to spend zero dollar on electricity, but I guess its not well-known here in Malaysia.

Nope. A lot of folks don’t understand the long-term costs of solar equipment maintenance. Like any equipments they are bound for ageing, deterioration and ultimately requires maintenance or complete replacement after its usage had reached end-of-life. Not to mention that the solar panels situated on top of the house roof needs to be replaced and not to mention when the roof starts leaking from rain water one must fix it. Whatever solar technology or technology of any kind, there’s a cost for self-maintenance and 3rd party maintenance to be associated with. Most solar energy adopters don’t share this daunting and cost of long-term ownership with us. Happy going green comes with unseen cost.
@raymondkong894Күн бұрын
I've been using solar panels for 2 years now and I have a friend who's been doing nem for 4 years already, no drop as yet on power generation output and no roof leaks. Also calculated based on my present savings on electric bills my ROI break even will be in another 5 years. Nem 10 years. I don't really see the problems you mentioned as a factor. Too many (who have never tried) are worried about non existent problems, like one of my neighbours who worries that his family would be electrocuted by my panels 😂
@jaredgalvinКүн бұрын
It would have been better if you opted for the hybrid setup (not sure if they have it here in Malaysia). For the hybrid setup, you won't pay a dime at all since your solar PV can generate enough power for your day needs, and the battery for your night needs. Depending on your usage, you won't be needing TnB anymore. Although this setup is a bit more expensive due to the battery.
@MrMoneyTV20 сағат бұрын
Yes heard of that. But unfortunately we don’t have that in Malaysia.

I own an EV as well as a solar set up. However, the ICPT tax really makes it not worth it. Before the ICPT i only need to pay 200 now close to 700. I live in a large household using more than 1500kw thats why kena ICPT.
@shinichixx2 күн бұрын
care to share more? ICPT does not cancelled out by your exporting the power to the grid?
@PsychedMedia2 күн бұрын
@@shinichixx no, ICPT is charged on the usage you used from the grid. If you are mostly at home during the day and consume directly from the panels, it wont count into your tnb usage.

This is interesting information. Thanks. Is your setup directly from the inverter to the grid? I think need to change the setup type which can directly utilize from solar and store the power in a battery in order to offset this.

One bad about soleroo is their apps. As they using hoymile inverter but they did not provide hoymile s cloud to house owner. This prevent house owner to monitor their panel at individual performance. Even one panel down, you probably still running 70-80% but you can probably reach 80-90% but due to apps limitation, house owner not able to identified, if their solar panel is all working at peak level.

Isn't it common to have micro inverter in all solar panel installation now (2024) regardless which solar company it is?
@FateSoulzZКүн бұрын
Not really, as a person in the industry (the place i work in sells both micro and string inverters), let's just say it has its pros and cons. String inverters are definitely way easier to change post NEM, to hybrid inverters for battery storage, compared to microinverters and doing ac coupling for storage. Personally only good reason to have microinverters is if your roof is extremely segregated (multiple angles) or shaded, but even so i'd prefer having double string inverters haha. In regards to reliability, microinverters are still in some sort of a gray area, they're only really mass produced or widely popular for less than a decade, reliability long term is still unknown, though you can't deny the fact that the technology is superior to what string inverter offers. But string inverters are tried and tested for many decades so expectations on its lifespan is quite standard already.
