For example, at least one of Law's parents was a D (since one of them passed down the initial D to him), but they both seem pretty ordinary. Their deaths were pretty unremarkable without any smile to be seen.

About someone betraying Joyboy, I think what could really support the betrayal theory is that from the looks of it the Egghead Arc is actually to show that it is impossible to have everyone to your will, there will always be an odd one who is willing to defy. You see Marines, Cipher pol agents and even One of Vegapunk's satellites betray their fellow allies and you can even see how an Admiral, Kizaru is acting this arc, he is obviously wounded emotionally which could probably lead to his betrayal as well. With all of that I believe it also applies to Joyboy's crew and that someone most likely betrayed them and led to their failure and downfall. On top of all of that, I think what could be a thing is that if this theory is correct and one of Joyboy's crew members betrayed him and let to their downfall then there is a chance this scenario will flip this time and instead, one of the government's top rankings will betray them, who though? I can't think of a specific group/person but I think it could possibly be one of the Gorosei and a betrayal from one of them could lead to the downfall of Imu and the current government.

Following the train of thought that the Straw Hat crew is not the “Dawn” crew, I’d like for Luffy to rescind his D. initial to further that theme. It could happen during a scene when Imu or an Elder Star boasts about Joy Boy failed because of his forces or a similar scene to it. It’d give me the chills.

I have a theory that Lily was actually Joyboy’s wife and her “sins” involved her choosing him over Imu (aligning with the D. Pirates, not going to the Holy Land after Ancient Kingdom lost, releasing the Poneglyphs, etc). On top of that, could it be possible that Lily D. Nefertari actually vanished after JoyBoy died and she created the Amazon Lily tribe? Idk just pulled the “Lily” from it lol. Anyway, that could really emphasize that Luffy and Boa are end game lol

I feel like this theory has good weight to it. The Only gripe I have is that I feel the "D." stood for something other than "dawn". I believe his crew were called the "Dream pirates". Vegapunk said the DF powers were based on imagination. Joyboy being someone who is supposed to be like luffy, means he was a dreamer. Before he was free, the first pirate, it was all a dream.

We learned very early, in true Oda fashion, that sharing a cup of sake makes people become brothers. Binks sake could have been the gift of becoming a D (in your theory a dawn pirate). Possibly even a sake infused with haki which we just recently learned may be possible.
