That's a nice Plymouth and it's great that Mike got it on the trailer without a fail!

Great video! Lemon Twist Yellow with the black interior and vinyl top is a perfect color combo. Good luck to Mike, getting her back in shape.

A 340 Duster is reasonably obscure/scarce/rare Yellow and black is a knockout color combo. Looks like a great one to buff out and preserve. Definitely put the vinyl top back on it! I wish you the best with your resurrection!

Sweet bro! I had a 72 Demon one time and my friends 70 Challenger doing burnouts in my 96 VHS clip with my old stroker Firebird!

I bought a '72 Demon 340 4 speed brand new off the car lot. I paid $3758.00 . It was the cheapest one they had with a 4-speed. Even had rubber floor mats. I still own that car and still retains it's original paint kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnmQYnd3ltWnprc

What a nice feller. The car didn't do much for me, preferred the Chrysler. Ain't my money, so what the hey. Enjoyed that little trip. Many thanks.

That duster is mint ! I’m from ny and almost rust free Abodies are in heard of out here. I have a 70 340 duster original bench seat 4spd car and a 72 twister I made into a 340 4spd bench seat car right now. I’ve had many 340 dusters man I love the rescue part .

Way back in 76 my friend bought a rusty 340/auto Duster same color $200.tuned it and it did never ending burnouts. He hated it because it ran better than his SS Chevelle he spent a fortune on.

Watching this, I was reminded of a friend of mine's 70 Valiant with a slant six. He was complaining about having to replace the points every couple weeks, so I told him I would take a look at it. Back then, Chrysler used a ballast resistor to lower the voltage at the coil to six volts. When I hooked up my dwell meter to set the new points, I found I had twelve volts at the points! I looked around for the resistor but couldn't find it. When I asked him where it was, he asked me what it looked like. After describing it to him, he said "Oh, that's in the glove box. It quit on me one night and that's what I found wrong with it, so I took it out." I asked him where it HAD been and he showed me a ball of tape wrapped around two wires. I unwrapped the mess only to find that he had used an old fence wire staple to bridge the two together! Farmer ingenuity at its best. I'm glad to see old cars like the Duster being rescued and would love to take on the Chrysler. But common sense, distance, and money keep me from doing that. I hope it gets a good home too. Thanks for bringing up old memories.

Awesome story! I always laugh when I stumble on to those sort of hillbilly fixes...Ive done quite a few myself over the years! You gotta do what gets you home!

Nicely optioned out Duster. Still can’t figure out the reverse light under the dash if it’s an automatic car. You’d have to do some research. Fender tag will tell. That 65 300 is nice! One year only grill with the headlight covers. I have a pair. Nonletter car I believe. 383? Be a 413 , 360 hp if she was an “L” letter car.

Is it crazy I prefer this ‘70 Duster 340 more than ‘71 Hemi Challenger posted in a previous rescue video?🤔🤦♂️🤷♂️😁

Funny you mentioned the weather back east , it's 13 degrees right now in Michigan . And the only way we find a rust free car here is if it comes from down south or out west .

It's a Plymouth Duster. I'm sure this will be repeated hundreds of times in the comments, ell oh ell! I might rather have a 340 than a 440 or even a hemi. And that's the best year as well.

The C20 was light green but the desert has baked it down to a patina silver. It should be a 1969-70 with that grille. "Rat shrapnel" 😆

Man this make me miss my 70 duster I bought in Hawaii when i was in the military in 1973 I shipped it to California drove to Texas then Kansas where I was Station and got into bracket racing on weekends was dialing in the 14's it was a 340 4 speed lime green. I sold it before I left for Germany in 77 was the worst thing I could have done. I'm retired from the military and been looking for another one that I can afford.

I would do the roof, clean, buff, wax, get the motor running and call it done. They're only original once and there's a big time market for the unmolested survivor car.
