Yeah, again a new car in our garage;) We traded in our Audi RS3 (yeah, shame on us) for this marvelous Audi RS e-tron GT full loaded and with 646 hp. The fact that you lowered the windows to listen to a passing V8 tells me you are still with us 😎. Honestly, the brutal EV acceleration is impressive, but I can’t separate it from a Taycan, or a Tesla Plaid, or a Lucid Air. Feels like shopping for a fridge

The better Porsche Taycan imo, somebody in our neighborhood owns one of these and the road presence is 👌 Even the sound generator (which I usually dislike) sounds good for it a little bit like the grumbling of a V8.

i have an rs7 740hp and i have an etronrs gt exactly the same color as this one but with red stiching and red belts etc. some says its boring. yes but it is the best for a daily. i made 80k km in 2.5-3 years with my rs7. people who say its boring. yeah it is. but you dont want to know how much i paid for servicing and for fuel in the 4.0 biturbo 🤣 so yes. i can use the rs gt for 1/4 of the cost. and rs7 can be a real weekend car with 8k km in a year.

Tatsächlich macht es einen Unterschied ob man von 100 auf 200 beschleunigt, oder von 0 weg mit dem Boost Launch. Ist bei meinem normalen GT auch so. Der war um 1,5 Sekunden schneller mit Boost

Just a note, you did your 0-100 and 100-300kmh on "D" even though in dynamic. If you put it on S you should get the overboost function with will give a bit more power. Atleast it is so in our E-tron S.

Tried RS3, RS5, RS6 and the e-tron GT. e-tron was weird. Sound wise RS6>RS5>RS3, and RS6 is the most powerful while RS5 and RS3 felt similar power wise. Petrol RS models are the best. Compare to Macan GTS and the Porsche sports exhaust is glorious >RS5 even though its same engine but the Audi is more powerful and definitely faster.

I would say those are entirely different cars in real-life since these 4 cars have 4 different platforms….which imho makes them feel totally different: The most sports car feeling seating position & handling wise you definitely get in the e-tron GT, but yeah of course it lacks sound😉

​All have the Audi DNA of power and comfort balance. The deep tone of RS models was a surprise as I didn't think it was stock exhaust. But you are right, inline5, twin v6 and twin v8 are all different platforms. e-tron is a great luxury car I'm sure there is a market for it, but petrol RS will do great as AMG have gone 4 cycl and BMW M are all S58.

Yes, but honestly you can not compare a MQB RS3 to an PP e-Tron GT. The RS3 is a nice hatch with a glorious engine but the e-tron GT feels like a fighter jet. You’re sitting inside the car and not “on” the car and quality is two different leagues….I don’t miss our RS3 when I’m sitting in this😄

That's is where the 800 volt battery system shows its advantages. The higher the voltage the lower the current and the lower the heat, so you can just do 0-100, 100-200 and top speed runs over and over without anything overheating.

Same problem every time. When are they going to understand : we don’t need 600hp EVs, we need 1000km range EVs. When it takes 45min to charge, and you have 10 people in front of you, you do the maths. And this car does it every 250km.

Not having full power from 100-200 kmh makes no sense. You almost never accelerate from 0-200 So on highway driving you will never have full power 100-200 which makes it much slower in real life.
