Pete I just LOVE your demo videos - with or without other players! I especially love the loops you come up with then solo over the top of. Any chance you could do a tutorial on looping to include various brands/types of loopers? Keep the great videos coming. I could, and have, literally spent hours watching videos demonstrating so many guitars and amps. Always a treat! Your playing is so tasteful and musical and not just lots of distorted shred that so many other “experts” do on their demos. I love hearing the clean tones of the guitars which reveals their true character. Any guitar can be distorted up the wazoo, but not every guitar sounds great clean. Thanks for playing such tasty stuff that brings out the various guitars’ capabilities!

Is there a way of knowing which of the Boss 'DD' pedal circuitry is in the Mk 2 Katana's at all Peter? (My 'Go To' is still my old DD3 which I have modded (with a 3rd party cct) to switch in a realistic 'analogue' 'feel')
@gundolfrenner20546 ай бұрын
Regarding the functionality and sounds the DD-8 seems to be a compact DD-20. Better buy a DD-20 if you have enough space on your board and you can do without shimmer. By the way, the shimmer sounds great!

Hey Pete! Great demo, I just bought one myself. I was just wondering, at the beginning of the video you loop yourself and then play over the top using different delay modes. When I'm on the looper setting, I can't seem to change delay mode without cutting off the loop. Am I doing something wrong? Cheers!
@lukaswuthrich35604 жыл бұрын
not quite sure but it sounds like you could have the delay switched in after looper. make sure you have the looper as the last pedal before going into the amp. that way, you adjust the sound that goes into the looper, making your looper save the already set pedal sound and looping it regardless of your other settings. if you have the looper first, you loop the clean tone of your guitar and adjust the sound later, making the loop change with the settings of the other pedals. hope this helps and didn't confuse you more :)
@JarrodLH19644 жыл бұрын
Lukas Wüthrich thanks for the reply man, really appreciate it! I was actually using the loop mode on the dd-8, I just assumed Pete was doing the same and then was overdubbing the other parts

Hi peter, i have this question i cant seem to find the answer by myself: using wet dry with dd-8, can this pedal do the job of Dan´s Humdinger thingy? in other words, the lack of a phase-switch nonwithstanding, can the DD-8 split the signal into a wet and a dry output? How do i switch that? is it some of that typical "first this, than that, than hold down something while connecting the other" mumbajumba??? Grateful for your insights^^
@petergregory22673 жыл бұрын
Year too late, looks like, but according to the reference manual (not the user manual) Having a guitar plugged into input B, and nothing in input A, will result in a direct output B, and effected output A.

I have this pedal since a few months, it is indeed a good one, is going to take me a while to discover the so many sound possibilities, one that you did not mention, is the Twist, only by using the external pedal, and by pressing it, it extend the sound, also on the Warp, if you press the pedal, the sound it goes up and up. The sound on the GLT, done by pressing down the pedal they call it ping pong. You did a great rewiew, Bravo!!!!
