Careful with the old back! Must have been why both of mine were born that way. - Glad to see you mill the plate rather than grinding off that LOGO. - Glad to see you put your safety squints on to do the grinding.- Your sons and grandsons will still be using that vice, if the Good Lord doesn't return sooner. - Great project.

Great video mate! I just picked up an old vice and am now researching all I can and getting lots of ideas for how I want to mount it. Yours is by far my favourite. Hope you're doing well.

That is a great design and a quality build. I wish you were closer so I could get you to build one for me! I recently got a 110 lb (Yes 110 pounds!) C. Parker and Company vise that I need a serious stand for :-) You have new subscriber anyway.

What is your reasoning for milling the plate vs grinding the emblem? Just curious - That milling machine is very nice - perhaps it is just more fun than grinding?

byerh that tractor weight came with a tractor my grandfather bought before I was born. I just couldn't bring myself to destroying the logo on it even though it would have been much easier. 😀
