This was priceless. If I could learn even some of those skills I will be pleased. The grinder comment almost made me pause things. Thanks.

Hi Sir, Ive made my living as a welder/ fabricator for over 40 years. I'm embarrased to admit I have never used a metal Lathe or Milling machine. At this point in my life, I have the desire to use proper machining to be the best metalworker I can be as I build a small business. Would you and maybe your followers like me be willing to share thoughts on small shop Mills and Lathes that are accurate, well made, and beginning user friendly, yet economical enough so that a small businessman with no startup can purchase and become proficient enough to make parts? Thank you all in advance

How stable is the stand, say when you are cutting or filing - does it tend to move around on you?
@bisonuberti6 жыл бұрын
rourkek4... The stand weighs 227 Lbs without the tray... the tray and tools will give it about another 30 Lbs bringing the weight to about 260 Lbs... I don't think that stand will be moving... wiggling... or walking anywhere anytime soon.
