Ever since Vera was introduced I knew there was something very special about him even in the context of the show, so when he popped up at the end of Season 3 it clicked in my mind : “Of course, Vera is key to everything ! He’s the one who “understands how the world works”, he’s basically the only person against whom Elliot has lost so far. He knows how to get inside of his head. He’s is gonna be the one that pushes Elliot to understand his past and current mental state”

Spoiler Alert Early in season 4 I genuinely questioned why vera was brought back. Sam Esmail is a ruthless writer. Once the characters have served their purpose to the story he doesn't think twice before killing them. I genuinely wondered why they brought this idiot back not just coz I hated vera but I just didn't understand what his use was. Then ofc u see episode 7 and essentially that masterful Shakespeare play and u understand. Which again confirms my judgement of sam Esmail as he ends up killing Vera at the end of episode when he'd served his purpose

Just like Tyrell, Joanna, Gideon, Elliot's mom, the partners of Elliot at fsociety, Scott Knowles (was arrested, presumably) Susan Jacobs (though you'll probably won't remember her from season 2, was supposed to be a big baddie but only was a dud for Darlene to kill to get some payback)... I love this show, but it had some serious flaws regarding pacing and writing the fates of secondary characters. I even had several issues with the overdragged Finale...

Yeah, I was already questioning even before this, because of the way the scenes were played. Nobody acknowledge Mr. Robot so long as Elliott was talking. And vice versa. They never both actively participated in a conversation equally, together, with others. That's what gave it away.
