But we always listened to Turbo Lover and Sammy Hagar's I cant drive 55. Then a whole bunch of other Rock of various types.

I've never been one for reaction videos, but I stumbled upon and really enjoyed your Painkiller video yesterday evening, and just saw this Ram it Down video on my KZbin homepage. Loving your reactions to Priest. 😎🤘 Ram it Down is like a "lost album" as it gets overlooked by everybody between Turbo and Painkiller. There are a bunch of killer songs on Ram it Down (including the title track). Shame that Priest did a 30th anniversary remaster for the 1982, 1984, and 1986 albums, but didn't do one for Ram it Down (1988). Hopefully we get a Painkiller 30th anniversary remaster next year even though sadly, Chris Tsangarides (Painkiller producer) passed way last year.

@@MrRockNRollLive I rememeber my sister coming home with the Scewaming for Vengance album. The cover grabbed my attention. I was 10. She was 16. I was like...what's that? I'll never forget listening to it..or the next album..or the next. Etc. Watching MTV waiting for Judas Priest and Micheal Jackson videos. Hahahaha Either way if you get a chance buy their box set...do it. They started out in 73. Their evolution is an amazing story in itself. Seems like each album has a different, unique sound. On a sad note...a tweaker stole my CD collection a few years back a d I lost my JP discography.

Judas Priest is one of those bands, you never know, what awaits you. Starting as a (slightly jazz influenced) progrock band in the early 70s they always tried to discover new areas. So, be prepared for some surprise on your priest journey. Too many amazing songs to suggest one. Therefore I just agree with 99% of the suggestions from the comments below (and give my personal all time fave The sentinel one more vote).

If you want a full introduction to Judas Priest, I would highly recommend reacting to their Live in Dortmund 1983 show in its entirety. It's less than 40 minutes, but it shows Priest a pretty diverse set of songs including the epic Victim of Changes. The band is on top form that show as well as Rob on vocals who sounds amazing throughout that entire set.

Priest's last album made me cry, because I could hear Ian's bass guitar. It is something unusual these days when you can hear this magical instrument in action. Try German powermetal legends Gamma Ray. Maybe "Anywhere in the Galaxy" or "Armageddon" (there are tons of other great songs by them as well). Also, OF COURSE, don't forget: Bloodywood - Ari Ari Arch Enemy - "Nemesis" or "Ravenous", both Live in Tokyo 2008 Huntress - Zenith Crucified Barbara - "Rock me like the devil" or "I sell my kids for Rock'N'Roll" or "The Crucifier"

Lovin yer Judas Priest reactions. Got my sub. I am not sure what all bands you are already familiar with prior to starting reactions but if you have not heard of the band 'Dio' you may wish to check out some of their music. Ronnie James Dio is an iconic metal singer from the 70's through 2010 and is credited with popularizing the metal horns \m/ He was vocalist for the band "Rainbow", "Black Sabbath" (after Ozzy was out of the band), "Dio", and "Heaven and Hell" (original Black Sabbath lineup with Ronnie on vocals.. but under a different name.) I would suggest starting with the song "Stargazer" from the band "Rainbow" to get a taste of his vocal style. Also, for Judas Priest.. they had another vocalist for a while when Rob Halford left the band for a few years. The other vocalist's names is "Tim Owens" ... sometimes referred to as Tim "Ripper" Owens. He was on two studio and at least one live Priest album. I suggest the song "Hell is Home" for a start.. or the song "Bloodstained" both are excellent songs. Enjoy ;)

I would check out Dreamer Deceiver & Deceiver, the recorded versions from the Sad Wings of Destiny album. Two tracks but need to be played together as they are related. No track shows off Rob Halford's vocal range as this one. Who knows how many octaves he covers. But this early Priest album is an absolute claasic with so many great tracks on it. Anorher great one is Victim of Changes.
