Scotch Argus - Erebia aethiops - Smardale Gill Nature Reserve - Cumbria - August 20th. 2023.
One of only two English sites, this one easier of access than the other, Arnside Knott, also in Cumbria. 93 Arguses counted in total.
The only females we encountered are shown between 1.38 and 1.46 and in the final butterfly clip.
