Send me one of the Mrs. King's English pork pies. Never got to try one when I was over. Was never on the menu of the Inn I stayed at in Litchfield. Mostly got Curry and Fish and Chips. Love the pubs over there and the charming towns. So cool in England and Scotland.

@randommedia92 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, but not chilled, they are at their best when allowed to sit in the sun a bit

Silly question. I'll be there in a couple of weeks and plan to have the pie. Do I have to refrigerate it. How long can I keep it out and still be safe to eat? Thanks.

You must be American - if your obsessed with food safety then learn food safety because food at markets does not come in packets with instructions

Pork Pies should ALWAYS be eaten at room temperature NEVER straight from a fridge.

Can you reheat in the oven to get the crust crispy?

You parked your bike up in St. James's Sq. off Jermyn St. Have you tried Paxton & Whitfield's pork pies and scotch eggs yet? I had them for lunch yesterday and they were absolutely cracking.

so, the meat and eggs in scotch eggs, and the meat in a pork pie, can just cruise about in a bag without being refrigerated? bizarre! excuse the obvious ignorance, I'm from the U.S., and haven't traveled to the U.K. everything here is kept refrigerated for fear of bacteria.
@RobertsLondon7 жыл бұрын
Yeah here in the UK we carry around pack lunches and picnics every day and few people get hurt - it must be a real pain living in the USA taking guns and refrigerators everywhere because your scared either each other or bacteria will kill you

Stilton is not expensive in places that make things. The only thing they make in Tennessee is terrible whiskey and welfare recipients.

The pork pie, japanese steamed pork bun, and a pork pirozhki are all very similar to me. How to do you feel? Also you said "hire a bike" we use the term "rent a bike" in the US. We don't usually say hire unless it's a person.
@RobertsLondon8 жыл бұрын
Apart from containing pork our Pork pies are very different to all the Asian steamed bun varieties available here in London. The bike scheme is called cycle hire but in conversation brits use both rent and hire interchangeably for many uses except employment.
