I’m on year 11 married and 19 together!! Marriage definitely “be hard”! It’s literally a decision to do life with a person unconditionally!
@Khadijah_time2 жыл бұрын
“Unconditionally”? 🤔 I’m on my 27th year and marriage definitely be hard. But it’s a daily choice for us both. I know for sure there are conditions for me to continually make that decision though. Just to name a few, respect, loyalty, emotional intelligence/availability, maturity, and commitment. Nothing in my life has been unconditional except for the love I have in my heart for the children I bore from my uterus. I completely understand that all marriages are absolutely not the same, but I don’t understand having no conditions on maintaining it in general.
@theprofitpenthouse2 жыл бұрын

I love Fridays with Tab and chance. It should be a talk show. When my son was a kid he was sweet, then he became a meanager, then he graduated and I cried because I didn’t want my baby to leave, Covid hit and he came back hm, but what I learned through all of it is to always cast my cares on the Lord. God cares about the things I care about and He knows I’m not strong enough to handle something happening to my child. So I gave both of my kids to God and left them there. There are no hands safer than His. Now they go and come as they plz. Stay for days or weeks away from hm and I just pray, keep them covered, cover whoever they are with or wherever they are and let go and let God.

I'm so glad y'all started off the discussion with the responsibility to also show the upside of marriage. Outside of the social media highlights, most marriage discussions these days don't make marriage seem desirable AT ALL. As Melissa said, the effort to be honest, or simply to vent 🤷🏿♀️, is definitely becoming a deterrent to those of us that are unmarried. I think at this point we all get that 'Marriage be Hard', but surely the good outweighs the bad or else no one would do it. God wouldn't have blessed and ordained it. Right? As a single person, I can say more balanced discussion on the joys of marriage, and its challenges, would be appreciated. All that to say, this discussion, and this series, is GREAT!!!!!! 🤗

I believe being forced to be quarantined together as a couple/family, you know living in a state of a certain amount of fear and stress about possibly getting sick, worried about finances and how and if a couple/family is going to be able to stay a float causes stress, and thus causes tension between the couple..Some of us don't have the ability to deal with the unknown and we lash out towards each other that can definitely breakdown the union marriage/family..We have to deliberately in so words go out our way to be kind to each other and lean and depend on each other..Knowing the power of unity, trust, and grace towards each other is vital..I am a 64 year old single woman so I was alone during quarantine..I worried about my adult children and my grand baby staying safe and COVID free, because it was scary and I found myself spooked sometimes because of all the people who were dying!! I did a lot of praying, praying, praying..It was sooo sad 😢And then two years into the COVID crisis my daughter and my G-Baby caught COVID and I had to stand strong in faith!! My daughter was stressed out because she was at home with her very active 1 1/2 year old daughter 24/7..My children was worried about me, because of my age and health conditions..So COVID was a trying time, Oh but God showed us mercy and grace and brought us through it 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
