As a Indian I listen to Šaban Šaulić & Sinan Sakić (RIP) , Šerif Konjević, Marija Šerifović, Jovan Perišić, Arsen Dedić, Mitar Mirić, Mile Kitić, Toše Proeski (RIP), Ivo Robić, Zdravko Čolić these people are epic to me (I can understand what they sing because language similarities) When it comes to modern artist in Balkans I only prefer Alen Sakić (Son of Sinan Sakić) who is Hip-hop artist that's all

@Nina Sucuk Like we have soo many languages My native language is Konkani (Usually spoken in state of Goa and coastal regions of Karnataka) It gives me mixed language feelings tbh mostly from Konkani and Sanskrit Like Živi and Jivi which has same meaning Sutra which is tommorow in your language and method in Sanskrit Dan is day in your language and donate in Sanskrit Soba and Saba same meaning in Sanskrit for room I have caught soo many things but I don't remember soo much

Prvu pesmu, "Zvižduk u 8", ne peva Đorđe Balašević već Đorđe Marjanović. Čak i piše na omotu ploče. Ne znam kako to niko nije primetio. Balašević je tada imao 1 godinu.

When I went to Yugoslavia back in the mid 70's Oliver was very popular, but I disagree many people listen to music from the 60's and 70's plenty of young people now listen the Beatles and Pink Floyd, and led zeppelin.

Jadranka Stojakovic is a cool Bosnian woman. She was also hella popular in Japan cause she lived there and sang her songs in Japanese XD Personaly I hate Ribja Corba though cause I hate Bora Djordjevic and his insane political believes. Btw I wish they had some more artists like Divlje Jagode, Denis I Denis, Plavi Orkestar, Pauk, Zabranjeno Pusenje etc. For me the list ended at 2010 cause after that I didnt like any of these songs XD

This is just a mix of some Yugoslavian legends and Yugoslavian “turbo-folk” trash… If you want “new wave”, try Divanhana or Dubioza Kolektiv, none of them are in this video…
