WIRING A CAR AMPLIFIER INDOORS | Part 1

This is how I'm wiring my car amplifier inside the house.
More or less the same way as I do it in the car, only it's running at 12v rather than 14v and there is no alternator to charge the batteries.
The amp spec :
5.5KW RMS @ 12v
7KW RMS @ alternator charging levels
Dynamic power rating of over 9500 Watts

My wife would've tossed me out with the batteries if I tried that. I had to get an AC to DC converter and hide it out of sight. Great videos! Nothing makes these dreary days better than learning something new and laughing.

I literally use a PC power supply for my indoor amps. Funny how that's the first method mentioned xD Otherwise I just set mine up normally.

Bad idea unless u can convert ac to DC (or vice versa can't remember) and then step the voltage from whatever the wall outputs to about.. idk 14-15v I guess? Though car amps are 12v

the xtc sub lover bass headz 2017 yes You can when u have 20 rms amp and also in pc box you need strees hard +5v line for strong +12v line when you dont do that 12v line will be weak and also cost more a lot more i can buy 3 power supply from server 1500w for price one power supply from pc 500w

+albaanisissi well if you'd looked carefully, you'd have seen the distribution block connected to the cable with a couple of smaller cables coming out of it. Using that fuse block as a way to extend the cable only works when the fuses are inside it 😝

You could use your battery charger to run the amp directly, the same way you would with the PC power supply.

Use the remote wire of stereo and connect it to amplifier's remote conenction. When you will turn on the stereo the amplifier would turn on Although the stereo requires some surgery as you will have to open up the stereo and connect some wires to the stereo turn on switch

i think I did it wrong. Was I supposed to see sparks?? I connected the wires to the Amplifier first and then connected wires to the battery. Was that okay? Should I have seen sparks at the Amplifier?
