Remarkable, Harry! Up there with Rip Torn's uncanny portrayal of Nixon in one of the network (NBC?) Watergate/"final days" miniseries. I've always been fascinated by Nixon, your video brings the transcripts to life.

Harry, this is great! At first I thought I was watching a scripted parody, it just didn't seem possible, until it dawned on me that you meant it when you said it was real. I'm still processing this. This stuff needs to air. I hope it gets picked up, or at the very least, goes viral.

Assuming that no creative liberties were taken with this and this was not embellished, this really underscores how little has changed since 1969.

Brilliant way to make history entertaining!!! Like an actually-educational version of "Drunk History"! Kudos!

Looking back at the old videos, it’s clear he was a formidable, impressive person. The Kennedy debate, the Oxford Union appearance, the checkers speech, the Nixon Answer in Michigan, etc. Even in “the tapes.” He had excellent people skills. Sometimes I see people say he seemed awkward or whatever, but I think they’re misreading things. Also, Harry Shearer gives a fine performance, but it doesn’t quite capture Nixon. There’s too much uncertainty in the voice, the voice is too high… it’s not quite right. Doesn’t quite get the older gen smoothness.

It’s petty spot on, listen to some of the tapes on here, including the actual conversations they do in this series

Very nicely done, indeed. It's like the Troggs Tapes except they are in the process of destroying Vietnam and Cambodia. Dubba dubba dubba cha!
