Yes night owl is ridiculous and I've spent hours trying to figure out why it would have been used ( in my youth). Your frosting theif story made me feel all warm and fuzzy remembering the time when my own now teenagers stole my homemade cinnamon bun frosting when they were very very little. They were busted due to the frosting trail all throughout the house that went no higher then 3 feet. Oh and the fact they both looked like 80 rocker rejects due to the dried frosting holding their hair better than aqua net. I miss those days terribly so thank you for all the feels. Oh and no I didnt punish or get mad....they both looked so ridiculous and their hair hurt them terribly. It was adorable, messy, endearing and everything mommy hood promised to be. Almost as funny as the sharpie makeovers. I'm gonna go sneak in their rooms and kiss them now. Again thank you for all the feels and the bombs are adorable as always!!

I started it as a result of this series of soaps and the other day I asked my roommate why wasn't I watching this years ago? So far is very good; I'm about 2/3s of the way into season 1.

Happy official birthday! :) Personally I feel like birthdays should be celebrated for a week, minimum! Bubble bars are something I am very interested in doing in the near future, so I am so glad to see this pop up!

Check out the flex edge beater. It always saves me some scraping and incorporates bread dough extremely well. Great tool. If you haven't done maintenance the hubby can easily change the grease and check the gears so it lasts a lifetime

Yeah this kitchenaid was old when it came to me, so I’d say it’s like 30 years old at this point, and still going strong! I have one of those side scraper things for my kitchenaid at home, but never bothered getting one for the shop mixer.

Ooooh your kidlet is lucky I'm not in charge of them. Frosting theft from my Cinnabon might have resulted in loss of iPad or game console or something. Because the icing is the best part in my opinion. Also, apparently, there ARE a couple species of day owl. >_>

Is that Polysorbate 20or 80? Or does it matter?
@Scrange222223 жыл бұрын
Mine didn't whip as nice and was hard to pipe. I added more with hazel to make it pipeable but still doesn't look as poofy ?
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
You can add a bit of meringue powder to increase the poof, or decrease the amount of glycerin!

Some owls are active during the night only, such as the Great Horned Owl, while others are very active during the day such as the Snowy Owl. The Great Grey Owl is diurnal. So I guess the term 'Night Owl' is either very specific or very misleading...

Can we use castor oil instead of coco betaine?
@MrsSoapAndClay2 жыл бұрын
In this application, coco betaine used as a bubbling agent as well as a thickener and a co-surfactant to achieve maximum bubbles from the other ingredients. It can be subbed out with another amphoteric surfactant, but castor oil would not tick those boxes.

Ok I must be wrong. Can't find it to buy🤔
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
Ha! No worries - I actually use the wrongish term because I’m an old dog that can’t be taught new tricks. Wholesalesuppliesplus has a product called Bubble Up - Cocamidopropyl betaine and works well.

Im trying to do a project for bathbombs with my granddaughter she loves them. Is using epson salt not good for kids? What would you recommend thanks very much
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
It’s not necessarily bad, but a number of parents steer clear of it because of the fear of dehydration, I think. Many, many doctors encourage epsom salt baths for kids over 2.

Not all owls are nocturnal so “night owl” may seem redundant but is a correct idiom.
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
See I remember learning about owls in like 6th grade, and learned that there are over 200 types of owls, but like 2 or 3 of them are diurnal. So the vast majority of them are nocturnal. Thus my annoyance with the saying. 😂 Another silly idiom: blind as a bat. They’re not blind, apparently.
@WiscoMel3 жыл бұрын
@@MrsSoapAndClay Yeah, same but at a summer camp. There’s apparently some that are active in the very early morning too that aren’t considered daytime owls. I have some very confused great horned owls in the woods behind me who are often up during the day. Like, stop being such confusing birds 😆
