This was from the 1992 NAACP Image Awards show. The Tempts, Tops, Dells, and O'Jays were inducted into the Image Hall of Fame that night with this tribute by Boyz II Men (who had won best new artist that night) & LeVert.

Some where in our culture at the beginning of 2000s, we stopped giving our ELDERS their flowers while they are still with us. Exodus 20:12 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. I know my generation was raised by the village. There are many others like mine. My only suggestion to you all is to give your ELDERS their flowers while they are still living. Once they are gone, its too late.

What a fabulous tribute to some of Motown's greatest acts. Boyz II Men and Levert did their predecessors proud - their harmonies were spot on. The "singing" apple didn't fall far from the tree in the Levert boys: they sound so much like their father, Eddie, who is an exceptional vocalist. Too sad that Eddie lost both his two sons at age 40 (Sean 39).

I don’t watch awards shows anymore like I use to. They definitely don’t pay homage like this anymore. I’m so glad I grew up to this. Today’s artist wish they had someone singing from their catalog of hits. R.I.P. to all the legends they showed.

You can tell they had so much fun putting this tribute performance together. Isn't it sad we don't have any male singing groups in this new generation? I'll keep playing the classics

It’s amazing watching these musical treasures and then seeing the trash at the 2018 Grammys smh.

one damn good performance by all participants, i wish i were there to be a part of the energy in the building that night. i love both groups. God bless those that are still around to celebrate life and music. for all those that we have lost god keep them in his arms safe and sound. may their souls rest peacefully till he call us all! god bless all who read this also!
