You what would be better? If Gameloft actually gave us the ability to pose villagers in camera mode so we wouldn't have to go through all this trouble. Why is Gameloft so far gone into the stone age? It's been 3 years and we still don't have simple things we should have had from launch.

Part of me feels like they are deliberately not going to fix it bc it's supposed to be a "challenge", but then the more I think about it, it just doesn't make sense. It's like basic quality of life improvements. Why don't we have a photo album? Why once we have characters in the shot, can we not signal for them to pose like in Animal Crossing? It's not natural that only the character you hang out with would pose. Also, why do they only do their fun pose/animation in selfie mode? This is also unnatural and nonsensical. I don't get why they've made updates to so many things except for the camera mode.

oh yeah, I accidentally discovered this trick during the creation of my new years dreamsnap. but it was more of a hindrance since I didn't know when or why they froze-and they also did it in unfortunate locations-or how to un-freeze them without having to redo the whole thing.. it was a mess. 😅 so it's good to know how it works so that I can either avoid it from happening again, or use it to my advantage!

I was able to freeze Mickey&Minnie by using Jafar and interrupting them by going to furniture mode and exiting! Thanks again everyone for sharing!🙂📸

This will be SO useful! I haven't been able to get villagers to react to Flynn, Hades, Jafar or Jack on floating islands but it works fine elsewhere.

I managed to get jafar to work on floating island but he wouldn't freeze mickey 😂 ye froze goofy and Sally thou 😂 and flying wouldn't come to my floating island

Hello MrStarInSky, great job! I just watched your video and just to add, there is a way to use Jack and Hades too but it is more complicated, hang out with the character you want and walk close to Jack or Hades and as soon as they start the animation teleport to some point on the map. As soon as you teleport (in the same expansion) the character will be frozen (it doesn't always work, still needs more testing), and you can use the teleport well to place them wherever you want. I only recommend this for those who don't have Flynn and Jaffar since it is more work. Another thing, when changing the skin of a frozen character it can bug and duplicate the character which makes the game unstable, and talking to the new copy of the character can make the previous one disappear or crash the game.

What do you do if you want to use fynn, jafar, jack or hades in your shot, can you freeze them as well? And what if you want to use all four of them in your shot? Does the freeze trick work on these characters as well?

This is very useful information! Thank you so much! Just a pity I do not have any of the DLC haha so would be awesome if I could do it with Jack. When I do dreamsnaps and gather villagers I use one of the items that call villagers for a snap and a few times now some of the villagers will freeze in place near the item. I'll experiment some more and see If there's a useful way to use it.

Well, now I know why I keep having random frozen characters. 😂 However, my hangout buddies often get frozen, and it’s usually in storybook vale, so now I’m thinking I must be accidentally interrupting Flynn by running by him, or maybe even talking to him.

Trying to take snap with Mickey and Friends but three were in houses. Are there any tricks to have them all out ? If I go in house to get one, everyone else I had leaves. I know I can use the gathering objects when I go in camera mode but that means over and over again to try to get them. When I tried the map option to delete the characters I didn't want, it would only delete one in the group.

Yes, use any of the items that summon character, wike stage or campfire, it pulls out characters from homes and keeps them there
