Candidate attorneys or article clerks in the legal field earn R3500 per month. Of all trainees in all fields.... CA article clerks are ahead. Consider yourself lucky lady. By the way lawyers complete 4 years degree, and 2 year articles and board ewams, I think about 5. After admission they still earn around R6000 per month. At most I've seen R15 000. I know a newly qualified CA can earn R650K per annum.
@mrstile53453 жыл бұрын
That's hectic hey. But with candidate attorneys there is a wide gap depending on where you doing your articles. My husband did his articles at a Big 4 law firm, he definitely earned way more than your examples and way more than what I earned during my articles. I do agree with the point you driving home, articles money is article money, we just need to endure.

Is not easy when you work full time, married and with kids. But it's worth it just take your time, do not rush through it. Is never too late to acquire knowledge. Hello Mrs Tile, I am currently doing my first year in Financial Accounting Bcom degree, I started with bridging course last year as I don't have pure maths in matric,also I don't have Accounting, so it was kinda challenging at first but I'm pushing it so hard to understand everything regarding accounting. My question is, won't it be a challenge for me to get an article since I don't have pure maths or Accounting in matric?
@mrstile53453 жыл бұрын
Hi dear. Give it your all, you can do it!
@mrstile53453 жыл бұрын
And no, it won't be a challenge for articles. When you have a degree in Accounting already, no one is concerned with whether you studied maths literacy or pure maths. So do continue to focus on your degree 😊😊

Hey there. I'm doing my matric this year and I've applied for a bridging course in Financial Accounting. If you don't mind me asking, what does the bridging course really entail? What are the requirements for a bridging course? How has your journey been so far? I'm quite nervous because I've never done accounting before and I'm only going to start in varsity next year?
@californialebea95183 жыл бұрын
@@kumbuzagabula2381 I started with Higher Certificate because I did not meet requirements for Bcompt degree and last year when I started it wasn't easy for me because I had no idea what is this Accounting, but I managed to pass all my 10 modules. I did bridging course in Accounting Science, I only chose Financial Accounting when I was applying for Bcompt. I think if that's what you really want then there is nothing to worry about you will enjoy it.

Hello Mrs Tile! Could you help me a little? I found your video so inspiring ❤️ thank you for speaking so truthfully and passionately about this. I'm thinking about becoming an accountant at the moment, I find it so interesting but I'm afraid. I keep hearing that this profession is going to disappear due to the AI and it depresses me deeply... Is this truth? I really would like to know from your perspective what does the accountant near future looks like? Thank you wether you get to read this or not :)

AI will disrupt most careers. However, that doesn't mean the career will cease to exist or that it will not have good opportunities. Personally, I wouldn't let such fear deter me. All the best 😊

I'm strongly considering going this way... But I can't seem to find any firms that allow you to do the 5 year training while studying part time
@mrstile53453 жыл бұрын
The firsmd that do are small and medium firms not big firms. So look into smaller audit firms

Yes I would. If you determined you can do it. Circumstances are not the same, some people work throughout their degree and still make it

Are which subjects you chose in high skool in important in the process of being a CA
@mrstile53452 жыл бұрын
You can do either sciences or commerce. I chose commerce subjects with pure maths. It's better to do pure maths than maths literacy but universities do now accept people with maths literacy but entry requirements are higher.

After your diploma, you can enrol for the advance diploma in accounting in Unisa. When you pass it, you qualify for Accounting Honours and thereafter you can do your accounting training articles and write board exams.

Would you advice for or against starting your articles while in your second year with a medium sized auditing firm like Moore?
@mrstile53453 жыл бұрын
I would support that decision as it is usually circumstantial. Some people do need to work while studying. However, if it is not a need per se I would say study full time.

@@mrstile5345 Thank you for the advice. I am in my first year and the workload is quite little and since we are doing an online form of study we have too much time on our hands. I thought it would be beneficial to go into the industry maybe next year but I will consider what you have said.

The workload here heavier each year. So if there is no financial urgency to work, I would suggest you just focus on studies. At some point you will see, you will feel like you have no time at all in a day.
