I remember my cousins playing it when me. Playing Minecraft. We played the entire evening together, us three. The next day we played more. I kept that world for years. Now I've digged it back up again. The memories of finding stuff out, exploring the worlds... A few years later my brother got this game too on his phone. It was the only thing he played for years. This game had an uprise and downfall. But a revival like no other. It saved people from Depression and Suicide. It gave people a reason to look up for tomorrow. It forged thousands of career paths. It gave people the opportunity to live put their hobbies. Not just playing games, much more than that. People with all interests came together for one thing. One line was rarely answered with a No. And you know which one it is. To all the ones that haven't been online for years. To the ones that have been playing every day. To the memers. To the KZbinrs. Remember when worlds had borders? When your houses were made of dirt and cobblestone? Remember the days when villages had gravel paths? Or when all your worlds were named “My World” Do you remember the good old days when the ocean was just a gravel floor with the occasional squid? I do. Edit: okay just to clear this up, by worlds named my world I mean most people used to just never name their worlds. They are still by default “my world” but usually people name their worlds now. Also, worlds with borders still exist, but back then that was the only option. Just clearing that up for those of you who commented about those still being a thing.
