I had a friend who I would get on with everyday. I’d never known anyone like him, he was one of the best and most genuine people I had ever known. One day, he stopped responding. I remember the last thing he said the day before was “Aight, I’m getting pretty tired, I think I’m done with the games today. Peace out”. I messaged him at least 200 times, but he never responded. A few days later, I was contacted by his family explaining what happened. My friend took his own life, and he did it 10 minutes after he got off Minecraft. I remember those last words because he said them with tears in his eyes. That’s when I figured that his “peace out” was permanent. They found his body at the bottom of a lake along with his car. Everyone in my friend group was devastated, and he took his life because he thought he was alone. If you’re thinking the same, stop thinking. You’re not alone. I remember I was introduced this game by my old friend, and I can't thank fully enough to him for introducing me this game back in time. Then we would spend time just to play Minecraft together, build some cities, houses anything that you'd imagine. Then I met someone who also played Minecraft, then we all three would play together for everyday. Now the year is 2020, and we are not playing the game anymore because we all have our own busy lives. And now, 2024, I am playing this game again and looking back to those memories that we've been made.

I had a friend, a classmate of mine, who set up a server to play with people and he invited me once to go skype with him and his group mostly from our class but new people too. At that time I just had a shitty PC with minecraft running at 10fps and no microphone. I talked with them via ingame chat. It was funny. I remember we built a big city in the skies, like 30 blocks above ground, flying in the air. It had a graveyard, towers, many houses, streets of dirt and gardens. And we built so many things, we did multiple worlds, some creative, some survival. There was building together, farming together, some unnessisary drama but most importantly, having fun together. I wish I could play with them again in this first server world, me without microphone and minecraft with 10fps and have some more fun, just one last time. I miss that time.
