90% is common sense but I was raised not to own it if I couldn't fix or at least maintain it. We live in a disposable world and it will be BAD for future generations

NEVER NEVER brush chips off with your bare skin. It will slice your hands to slivers and impale your hands with steel, or other material, splinters! It's a good idea on dressing the Phillips tip. Thank You. Wear your PPE & use a 2" latex paint-brush with half the length of the bristles trimmed off, to whisk-away all chips and or saw dust. This is the proper and professional way. It's also the safest way. You work better without bandages on your extremities

@@troubleshooter1975 I'm just speculating, because it's not obvious, but maybe to keep the cable from unraveling.
@troubleshooter19752 жыл бұрын
@@vashon100 I thought that too, but it is an odd way to do that... And then he shows you can coil it up, (like that is what he did it for), which you can do without tubing on it? Using a lot of spendy heat shrink tubing (probably more per foot than the cable!). What if you had 20' of it? He would only need to shrink the ends, like 2" of it,,, How about hot glue? They're big on hot glue over there LOL I'm not directing this at you, just what my thoughts were. It just didn't make sense... [I put that out there in case someone picked up on something I had not thought of]

Use the CORRECT screwdriver bit and you'll NEVER have to regrind it. Many people don't know there are different formats that look alike. ie, Phillips, Pozidrive, and if it's number 1, or 2or 3..........As for spreading glue !, well, I'm lost for words, why would you go through the trouble of all that just to evenly spread glue , ever heard of a 'rub joint ?

The #2 Phillips bit Idea is brilliant. Thanks! This one for sure will be used in a pinch!
@ekondigg67512 жыл бұрын
Olszkool Customs He was using a #2 Pozidriv (PZ2), not Phillips. It's obvious from the bit profile, but if you want to be sure, just check out what's stamped on the bit at 0:31 It's not a good idea to mix up Ph and PZ profiles because they're different.

To use a PZ bit with a PH screw is not a good idea...
@ekondigg67512 жыл бұрын
Garra Meesta Correct, but it seems few people know the difference. In a pinch, using a Pozidriv (PZ) bit with a Phillips (Ph) screw maybe, but definitely not a Ph bit with a PZ screw: that's asking for a ruined bit (and screw head) due to slipping.
