I've never tried the Expert Ring Race for this stage, I found doing the Pro one in Gold Medal worthy time hard enough...

The original Hydro Thunder was the first game I bought for my Dreamcast. I'd never played it in the arcade, only ever heard good stuff about it. Played it for the first time - game absolutely blew me away - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoDMd3aLhKeaibs. I'd had a PS1 before the DC, and the quality of the graphics in Hydro Thunder made it feel like I had an arcade machine in my house, it was such a huge improvement over what I'd been used to. Hydro Thunder Hurricane was the entire reason I ended up buying an Xbox 360, once the console was at the end of its lifecycle and I could get one for ultra-cheap secondhand.

No idea mate, I'm playing on Xbox 360. Can't you just purchase it off the Microsoft store?

@@cachotron I just bought it from the Xbox online store (Marketplace or whatever it's called). Once you've bought it though, the extra tracks and ships still have to be unlocked in game.

iv been trying to DL this on my xbox 360 but it stops 78% after that it says "Can't DL Hydro thunder" is it my connection? i have DSL

Er, I think you've mistaken me for some sort of Microsoft support page mate. All I'm demonstrating is some game-play videos, I'm not going to be able to advise you on any download problems you're having with your 360.

@@latintiger if I were you, the first thing I'd try is making some more space on the 360's hard drive. Maybe delete a game you don't play anymore.

@@MrThunderwing i checked my disk space and trust me i have a lot left, i the games i downloaded, downloaded fine, but Hydro thunder stops at 78% and it stops i don't get ill iv been googling this but no luck i guess i have to contact microsoft. Thanks anyway :)

You need to purchase the Tempest DLC pack to play it and then you need to unlock it in game by reaching certain points thresholds.

@@jheanrocha9687 I just bought the DLC from the Microsoft store directly using my 360. No complicated methods involved, just searched for it and bought it. I've no idea what the unlock requirements were for the tracks now, it was such a long time ago I did it. Once you've downloaded the DLC it tells you what you need to achieve to get the extra boats and tracks. I did think Vector Unit were taking the piss a bit by making you have to unlock the DLC. If I've paid extra for it, I want instant access to it.

Yes, I discovered the problem, I'm from Brazil and here there are no extras, I created an account with the USA location and the extras appeared, $4.99 I don't know how to buy because here in Brazil it's not a dollar, it's a Real ;-;
