A lot to say about this whole video, first off... awesome ! Seems like a lot of the top 100 folks were using the wacky worm and you could see that your big lures were gonna be hard to use. So cool that you ended up catching a biggin on the Crawler on the last day. You missed the top 100 but you ended up in the top half of a field of 300, pretty damn respectable for your first time there if you ask me. Hope to someday be able to qualify myself. Lastly but certainly most importantly, glad all made it thru that accident on the way home without serious injury. Tight lines Mr.Tight Lines , hope to see you is some local Tourneys next summer here in NH. Don. ✌️

Yeah that horse being OK was the best thing ever. I was extremely worried, especially when I saw it being cut out and was upside down almost. :( Thanks for watching and yeah, it was pretty awesome catching that one on the crawler! I through that freaking thing for DAYSSSS...but it was always blue bird sky with no cloud cover, so very hard to get a top water bite for me in the places I went to.
@Chricke874 жыл бұрын
Great video! I loved the little commentary there after day 2 haha, I personally like that you show the slow times as well as the good ones, it makes those moments when you catch the big fish that much better! Especially that one the last day on the crawler, must be a pretty darn epic feeling catching something far away from home on your own lures! Tight lines, next year you'll get top 50 for sure! :D
@MrTightLines4 жыл бұрын
Yeah by that point I almost didn't even know if I would be making a video! It was reallllllll slow those first 3 days especially. I had forgot to mention, the day that we showed up to pre-fish was the same day the Bass Masters were getting off...and they started to majorly drain Guntersville in anticipation of a hurricane coming in. Also, the moon was out with the sun at the same time and many tournaments were just held on G-Ville. We certainly had everything stacked against us! And yes, the feeling of catching a G-Ville chunker bass on my own hand made wooden lures were indescribable! So awesome! Thanks so much for watching and the kind words. Really appreciate that!
@mikefurness15984 жыл бұрын
Great video Kris! And somehow you managed to keep me out of the video 100% with the exception of my truck when you are at 1 ramp there you could see my silver truck backing up while you and Shawn unloaded your trailer at the day 3 tournament location. Keeping me out of the video was probably a good thing! At least now you don't have to repair any lenses that would have broken! :-)
@MrTightLines4 жыл бұрын
I'm actually bummed I didn't get any real footage of you, and barely got any of Shawn. After a couple days doing what we were doing I wasn't even sure I was going to make a video. I honestly would've preferred to get much more of you and Shawn. Also, I had clips of Shawns and yours backs (jerseys) going into the meeting, and Flukemaster gave me some good quick footage too, and I didn't even find that footage. It's on my hard drive somewhere. Thanks for enjoying Mike. Glad you were able to grab a good one on the last day! Would've been rough if we didn't all get at least one decent one. See you soon hopefully!

I live in South Alabama and I love fishing lake Guntersville it's way bigger than most think and how bout the ride up to the state park, all the deer walk right up to you..and the view from the resort at the top is unbelievable., it gives you a different look at the way grass fishing..should have stayed on the chatterbait bite. We were there on vacation this same week we did really well on a frog and chatterbait..

Yeah, I believe you're right I should've tossed the chatterbait a bit more! I couldn't get a single dang sniff on the frog :( I'd certainly go back to G-Ville if I had the chance, but being about a 24 hour trip...I don't know as if I will make it back anytime soon. Yeah, the state park was amazing! The view is unreal...I could literally sit out there all day long and not get sick of it! Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!

Better than last hundred. Still not bad. Nice bass on your lure! Another bass. To bad got hurt. Great to go home👍. Poor horse. Thank God nobody seriously hurt. Ty tc
@MrTightLines3 жыл бұрын
Yeah the 5 pounder was great, especially during a tourney. Though it didn't help much in the grand scheme, it was still super wonderful to catch it! The bass on my own bait was all I needed after that 5 pounder the day before. I felt "complete" overall at the end of the journey. And yeah, I fell and hurt something in my leg that still bothers me a bit months later. Damn it, why do our bodies have to fail Ron? :( The accident really bothered me and still does to today. If we're on the highway and a big white tractor trailer is on my passenger side....I get very stiff and uncomfortable. It seems to be the white ones that bother me the most, but overall I have a general PTSD from that day and highway riding.

I hate that like because of how much grass there is, nothing to throw at because the grass will be 15ft tall and 2 inches from the top of the water and you’ll be 100 yards off shore in 16ft of water, I mean fish are anywhere but not everywhere so you just have to get lucky or know that like like the back of your hand.

Spoke all kinds of truth right there, didn't ya?! :) Now that I know it a little more, I would go back....but it took the last 2 days of the trip to get me even remotely excited about the place.
