Lots of great ideas in this build. Very inspiring I absolutely love it. I wanted to acknowledge the practicality of the thing getting it to the launch site, wheeling it along pavements etc. So often a great launch site can be a fair distance from where you might safely/freely park your car. Currently living in Brighton UK, occasionally launching a Mirror Dinghy which has similarities in build techniques but can actually be a PITA to haul around. Often launching an inflatable kayak which is already to go!! But a Proa would provide so much versatility. The smaller the boat the bigger the fun or so they say :-)

isso não é um proa! proa tem duas proas, vc troca a vela de posição e muda a direção. isso é um "Outrigger boat". Proas tb tem flutuadores, mas funciona de forma diferente.

I have some difficulty in choosing my boat. And I wish I could share what led you to choose this particular boat. And what was his greatest difficulty. I'm looking for a small boat that can take two people and that I can carry it over the car. Does yours do that? have a good time.

Yes, you can car top this boat. Probably need 2 people, but it is slightly shorter than most cars. 4.7m. Weighs about 50kg. I have just published a new book on building small boats if you are interested. Does this sailboat ride well against the wind?

Yes it does Henrique. It all depends on the dagger board. The one in the design is large for the size of this boat and it works well to wind. Tim

that's not to bad a job. f you build another its easier using stitch n glue and if you lay your tape on the wet fillet you save a bit of time

That is a lovely build. Do you have the plans available for you ama? As I'd like to do that to my plywood Canadian canoe.

+bombjack78 Hi Bombjack. Thanks, the ama's are just 2.7m long pine framing. Roughly 2 x 3 inch. Nothing hi tech.. An outrigger would make your canoe a lot more stable. Actually I am just about to release plans to build this boat. Full plans and template plans, if you are interested.
