This was the most natural dub i personally have ever heard. I like watching on Netflix because i can switch back and forth between sub and dub. Usually i do it for the first couple episodes and pick one, but this time, i basically watched the whole season twice in one go. And i enjoyed every second of it.

It's funny how the dub version of them singing they kept the japanese lines instead of translate it because they know those are the reference of original slam dunk song 😂👍✨

Also translating Japanese songs is a headache, when you have limited timing (or sometimes mouth flaps). They could probably sing it with the same rhythm and maybe some people would recognise it... but yeah better in this case to just straight up sing the Japanese song.

There's a good chance they couldn't translate it for legal reasons. There's a reason why most official streams for anime never translate the lyrics for opening and ending songs

@@DubiousNachos yesterday Crunchyroll uploaded their own dub for episode 12 of Dan Da Dan and in the Neutral Spanish dub they actually used the original versions of the Slam Dunk's Latin American Spanish dub songs. Okarun sounded kind of weird, but that was very in-character, while Jiji sounded much more professional, though it helps that his VA in that version, Marc Winslow, is a professional singer and has been a musical director in various projects

Watching this episode I was quite surprised when Okarun and Jiji began singing Slam Dunk's opening and ending songs, but sadly those were kept in Japanese even when I was watching the Neutral Spanish dub and it's that Slam Dunk's songs where adapted into Spanish when the show aired here in the early 2000s, but the Spanish subtitles kept the lyrics from the LA Spanish opening which was a nice touch. I wonder if perhaps Crunchyroll's alternate dub will allow the actors to sing the songs in Spanish Curiously enough, Okarun's LA Spanish VA in the Netflix version, José Luis Piedra, voiced Sota Miyagi in The First Slam Dunk movie Side note, Crunchyroll premiered episode 10 of their own LA Spanish dub and in that version Jiji is voiced by Marc Winslow, who known for voicing characters like Ciel Phantomhive in Black Butler and Sonic in Sonic Prime, but it's kind of interesting the amount of dub VAs who work in both DanDaDan in Demon Slayer in Latin American Spanish, because Marc also voices Giyu Tomioka, but Jiji in Netflix's dub is voiced by Dalí González who voices Sabito, while Netflix's Okarun is Zenitsu and Crunchyroll's Okarun is Tanjiro just like in Japanese
