I watched MJ's career from home in Chicago. No other player in NBA history, (IMO), had the amalgamation of pure skill, work ethic, drive, motivation, creativity, charisma, focus, and killer instinct, that MJeff possessed. He didn't play 20 years. But his peak surpasses all others with ease. MJ is, and always will be, The G.O.A.T. Periodt.

Jordan was a once-in-a-lifetime combination of freakishly naturally gifted and psychotically dedicated and hard-working. Either one of those traits alone would have made him a star in the NBA, but together they made him the GOAT. I don't begrudge anyone who says they like other players more, but Michael Jordan is the best ever, and it's not close.

The thing you also gotta remember is that it was A LOT more physical back then. He was a battle warrior , an iron horse ! Aside from style , and being ahead of his time , this is what also makes him the greatest NBA player of all time , the adversity he had to overcome with that kind of competition. 🏀As big and strong as LBJ is, I honestly don't think he would have ran up the score in yesterday's NBA. All of that hand-checking, flying elbows in the paint, all of that focus on defense. Can you imagine LeBron surviving something even resembling the Pistons' "Jordan Rules"! 🏀MJ's solution to someone like LBJ would've been to smother him in defense. Interrupted his game/style of play. Made him so mindful of where MJ was at any given moment on the floor, he wouldn't be able to concentrate on his game. 🏀When LBJ's game is off his ego suffers (you've seen him deflate b4, especially in the Play-Offs) and the shit talking that MJ did; he would have been all up in LBJ's head. I'm 52 years old, and I remember watching him play in college and then in the NBA. I can honestly say, there was not a single week that went by when he was playing (season and playoffs) that he was not on ESPN Sports Center highlights. And there was more than 1 or 2 weeks where he was on it every single night. I saw the other 4 starters on his team get down and feel like they were losing the game and he literally said 'I'm not losing this game.' and he single-handedly willed the team to win. He took over the entire game. More than once. THAT's why he's rated higher than Lebron and Kobe on the all-time list....he did it game after game and season after season, with or without help... AND, if you want to hear about how he shutdown opponents, WHILE torching them, look up the KZbin video where Kevin Garnett talks about the time he was a rookie and decided to trash-talk MJ.... didn't turn out well...

I stopped watching a lot of games when Lebron started being a player GM & controlling a narrative by teaming up with other superstars so he could win a ring. Think about it. Lebron couldn't win his first stint in Cleveland or his 1st year in LA. He needed 2 other superstars in Miami & his return to Cleveland, won with AD, but when AD is injured he can't win so they went & grabbed someone who only cares about stats in Westbrook.

Jordan was no slouch in the 3 point shot department having entered the contest during all star weekend. But the bulls of the Jordan era were so well assembled with excellent role players that Jordan didn't need to take 3's regularly. He always drew a double or triple team which opened up other players. Hodges, Paxson, and Kerr were all excellent 3 point shooters. Aside from that, these plays/highlights are mostly about athleticism, which is truly showcased when he would take it inside.

I've been an NBA fan since the mid 1970's and coached youth basketball for years. My personal top 5 are: 1. Michael Jordan, 2. Larry Bird, 3. Magic Johnson, 4. Kobe Brant, 5. Julius Irving. I’ve seen everyone over the last 45+ years. IMO, these players had the best BALANCE of FG%, FT%, clutch play, great offense, great defense, makes teammates better, great team play, shares the ball, passing ability, finishing, coachable, high basketball IQ, finds a way to win, has all areas of the basic fundamentals down pat, seeks high % shots first, knows where teammates are on the court at all times, able to score while being fouled, played against tougher competition, played against great defenses. No one today has ALL of these attributes. Not even Lebron, and that he flops and has choked in some key games brings down his value. To me, only Michael Jordan and Larry Bird have ALL of these attributes and are (by far) the most clutch players of all time. Though today's players have a lot of talent, most players lack most of these attributes and no one has all of them. Defense and team play aren’t nearly as good today as in the 80’s/90’s. Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson (by far) are the most clutch players of all time and did it against the best defenses of all time. Great video. You did a good job.

My favorite was Game 5 of the NBA finals against Utah Jazz. He was so sick he could barely stand. Against advisement he played with a temperature of 103 yet scored 38 points. Sadly, I believe his Dad had just been murdered as well & you could see how hard it weighed on him. There was several times he would croutch down and rest his body with his hand in the floor then pop up ready to go when the play started. I've never, ever seen such dedication & determination. Incredible game!

After the first 3peat when he won in 1993 his dad was murdered, and in respect to how much his dad loved baseball, Jordan retired and played baseball. Jordan did not come back until real late in the season in 1995 and then lost to the Magic. But, then he won his 4th ring against the Sonics in 1996 on Father's Day! And of course the flu game in 97' and beat the Jazz, and beat the Jazz again for his 6th ring in 1998.

I watched this because I watched your Larry Byrd video. I have never been a big sports fan, but I remember, back in the day, hearing my dad talk about how good Byrd was. What is funny and interesting is that one of the things I remember him saying about him is that he would shoot more 3 pointers, while a lot of other players were dunking all the time. So, that's really funny that you made the comment about how much players today just shoot threes all the time.

Michael was such an icon back than that he made basketball so cool all by himself. I remember that when I was a boy(I'm 33 now) - I Joined basketball practices and I bought his Bulls shirt and a ball with his "Air Jordan" symbol on it and I'm pretty much sure that I'm not the only one who did it.

You should watch highlights from the 1992 _USA Dream Team._ It had everyone that was anyone that Olympics. Untouchables. Part of what makes Jordan different is his hand size. He has something like the 8th largest hands in NBA history. Larger than most centers. He's 6'6" and his hand size is equal to that of a man that would stand 7'9".

In the "flu game" (which MJ has stated was actually food poisoning), he played all but 4 minutes and scored 38 points. It was one of the most amazing performances in sports history...especially since it was during the NBA Finals.

True fact: the Detroit Pistons came up with the Jordan rule that was anytime Jordan had the ball and was going to the basket who ever was guarding him was to knock him off his feet before they left the floor. He was not to be given any chance to get himself and the ball in the air. The Pistons were the most aggressive playing team in the NBA at the time and had big guys and were the NBA Champs that season. When the Bulls met the Piston at the eastern conference final they pretty much clipped Jordan's wings in the last game and knocked him around a lot . The Pistons beat the Bulls went to the NBA finals and on to their 2nd NBA title in a row . Now here is what separates Jordon from all the others that season ends he does not go on vacation he takes that frustration of that season and he goes to the gym along with his other team mates. Practicing everyday hard nose in your face bare knuckled basketball. The vary next season the Jordon rule came back to bite the Pistons in the next eastern conference final because Jordan now was able to dish out some punishment himself when they got rough with him he got rough back . They could not knock him off his feet this time. Well Detroit did not win one of those games at the conference against Jordan . The Bulls went on to win 6 NBA Championships and the rest is history.
