If you go up there in early spring you will get to enjoy watching the small avalanches on the other side of the lake. Very very cool to see. Great video.

I did this hike probably 7 years ago and it was my absolute favorite. We went on Easter morning and got to the lake and across from us were so many little avalanches. It was wonderful to see. I’ve been trying to find the name of it because I had forgotten after all these years. My friends even forgot the name. This video brought back so many memories. I’m excited to go there again. Thank you for this. ♥️ I’m a forever subscriber and fan 😌

I was on my way to bridal veil falls last week; but I turned around at a snow area, that if I fell , I would have died. I talked the people behind me into turning back also. As your video shows, one of the best parts of hiking here, is when the weather changes for the better. I have not been on this hike to the lake yet, but your video has talked me into it. It will be tough, but scenic.

Glad to hear you made it back safely! There has been some nasty avalanches in the PNW lately. Winter is far from over in the mountains. We are waiting a bit longer for things to thaw out. :)

I recommend this hike in late fall where the mountain side is covered with snow but not too thick. Great video. Happy trails!

last winter we were going Mt.Rainier, my GPS messed up and took me to different area, we had 3.5 miles flat Snowshoeing, and we were 1500 ft high from sign..we came to sign says Green lake..2 miles up..from 1500 to 3300 2 miles moderate snow shoeing in tight trail..around 700ft from entry we came to beautiful water fall..it was wooden made balcony to watch the water fall..than keep go up..we came frozen lake.. you should find that area..i think South of Mt.Ranier..

What a beautiful hike!! I've never hiked in snow before so I don't think I'm confident to do it in the winter any time soon. Was thinking about visiting in late Sept-early Oct. I'm hoping the weather permits an enjoyable hike.

Watched several of your hiking videos, thank you for posting. Very good videos, my wife and I live in Eastern Washington and love getting outside to hike especially western Washington. We are rookies though. Your videos help out a lot...now I can plan future hikes. Maybe one day we will meet you on a hike.

First time I did this hike some years back I ran into a precocious gaggle of young whipper-snappers. Topographic map in hand they asked if I knew the location of the mines...Hell, they don't call it Gold Bar for nothin'

Try Cougar Mountain. There are miles of trails and they are family friendly. :)
