I feel like Japan should have just ran down to Australia and took the Pacific VCs in either Sydney or Hawaii to win for Axis. Definitely would have been possible.

Not against me it wouldn't work. I would put US planes in Aus and with Anzac getting high bonuses, bc UK declared on Japan rd1, all Anz has to do is build a few inf and planes, lots and lots of planes. Japan will get the money isles and Papa New Guinea. But that's the price for ensuring J doesn't get Aus. If anything Japan attacking Aus only wastes his time and gives India and US more time to build up.

Kamicaze attacks are only for surface ships with defence. They can't attack transports or submarines. So the ANZAC could have taken those 100 IPCs from Japan. Finally your more videos again. Your strategies are very interesting, thank you.

Japan had a sub in the territory, and ANZAC didn't have subs. The Kamikaze would have targeted the surface war ship (cruiser) leaving the sub to clean up the transports.

Have you guys discussed starting the game with each major power having one tech ability? I suggest that Germany start with; Improved Mech to strengthen their Blitzing capability, because by 40 that was a well established tactic for the Germans historically speaking. Soviets should have Increased Factories when they go to War. UK should have War Bonds/Radar. USA gains Shipyards when they go to war. Japan should start with Shipyards/Super Subs.

Mountain Realm it’s a good idea. That’s very similar to the optional rules we played with the original game 30 years ago - air power for Germany and super subs for Japan. That was effective in balancing that game.

I think you guys missed the small factory in Normandy that should remain no mater who takes it, thus allowing the US to build up to 3 troops in Normandy at the end of turn 6 since the Germans didn’t take it back.

Hey, guys. Thanks for sharing your game! :) When you say "turn" you really mean "Round". And I believe that major factory in China is illegal. Only place for major factory on the mainland for Japan is Korea.
