A captain's true contributions can be seen by the environment, team, and achievements that were there when he became captain, and the environment, team and achievements they left the team with when they left captaincy... As long as he was there the Kohli's, Rohit's, Dhawan's, Jadeja's all blossomed albeit at the expense of some lost tournaments... That's why he passed on captaincy pretty soon to Virat so that he could improve on the foundation layers and make India the absolute number 1. But unfortunately Gabba, 2021 was when India hit peak and it's been a downfall ever since. Like the guy is literally captaining a team mostly of inexperienced, out of form or players past their prime and winning trophies beating a god-level Gujarat team filled with quality!! Dhoni was the main reason for winning in many matches like 2007T20 WC where he denied giving ball to experienced and gave it to joginder....in 2013 Champions league too....he gave the ball to ishant though he gave away many runs....but we, as a fans should not forget one thing...let me explain with an example:- "Imagine u are a talented cook and u make a great recipe....people will praise the cook but not the ingredients and helpers...it's obvious....but we should also realise...if the ingredients are bad....the food prepared by cook will be bad for sure...if the ingredients are good the food will also be good....but the credit goes to the cook..it's common....there is no need to praise the food ingredients but in cricket....we need to praise both...I mean players are ingredients and captain is the cook.....captain uses his talent to use his ingredients in an efficient way so captain should get the credit...and we shouldn't forget how ingredients performed..I mean players...they too deserve the credit...but at one point of time we as fans forgot the players and praised only tha captain...this made the captain get trolls...though ITS NOT DHONI'S MISTAKE...HE IS GETTING TROLLS NOW....WE AS FANS ARE THE REASON FOR TROLLS ON DHONI "😢

Dhoni is such a joy to watch him on the field ❤....the way he tries to hit sixes of a yorker, the quick actions of his hands while stumping, his quick running between the wickets, his observation of the batsman infront of him and thinking what shot they will play next, fielding placements, being calm in situations when the whole top order collapses and taking the whole pressure and responsibility as a captain...we are so blessed that we can say our country has produced one of the greatest captains in the cricket world.

First of all, I'm a MS Dhoni fan, and I give full credit to him for winning the trophies. Because he's the impact, he was always the biggest impact on the field. The team he got from Dada, he didn't think that lets run the team, he decided to take the team forward. And let's be honest, after the WC 2011, we needed some massive changes in top order. So he had to get rid of Sachin, Sehwag and Gambhir. How many of you remember the 2012 odi series against Pak? In that series Sehwag and Gambhir costed us the series and we lost. Then we had another odi series against ENG and Rohit Sharma opened with Gambhir, Rohit shined and we won the series, while Gambhir disappointed again. Another series against WI and Sikhar Dhawan got in and we got a wonderful pair of Sikhar anf Rohit. So thank MS for that, he deserves the 100% credit. And another point where people say why Aus team doesnt glorify Ponting? Because chutiye, Aus have 5 WC, and Ind has two. And MS is the only leader who made it possible. So Gyan dena band karo. Gambhir and Sehwag are just jealous of Dhoni's success and fame. Nothing else. When Kohli and Dhoni fans celebrate their success, Gambhir just crys and trys to push his name and only shows - 97 in WC final. Nothing else to show.
