Great video you guys, loved it. I think it's somewhat ironic that blokes generally don't go to the doctor soon enough where as women do, but they are dismissed by medical professionals more often. Either way we're all in a pickle. I wouldn't want to trade with you guys though. I can absolutely see you as men being treated differently than women when addressing MS symptoms that bother you. We'd get more sympathy I think and you are more likely to get the 'suck it up' kind of response. Wouldn't it be just lovely if people just believed what we told them right away? 😉

My mum-dad and I misunderstood my first symptom as muscle cramps (I was a very active 23 year old!) and went to a general physician in 2015. Luckily he referred us to a neurologist. Multiple Sclerosis was a bolt from the blue, very new to/in India, identified as a disability in 2016!

Have you been in touch with Anjali Vyas who is involved with MSSI?

No! I know nobody from India who has MS. It's kinda taboo. People want to keep it silent. I'm afraid some use the "invisible disease" to their benefit.

There are several interviews on the channel with Anjali. She lives in India and talks about the often taboo nature of MS. You can email me for her contact details: email.theMSguide@gmail.com
