The masters degree in us is now commiditized. It is better to do PhD, or mba is one can afford it. It is also a good idea to have a plan B of India options as visas and jobs in the us may not work out. Or have options in other countries like Middle East, Australia, New Zealand etc

Great details! Could you share more information for U.S. citizen students graduating in India? Scholarship opportunities or application process insights would be especially helpful. Thousands of students could benefit from this information during their admissions journey.

Hello Didi, I am Vaibhav, 3rd year student persuing Electrical engineering from BITS Pilani. Honestly it wont be difficult for me to land a min 20 LPA CTC right after college, but I want to change my domain and work in Computer science and I aspire to study MS in US from TOP univs, Now problem is that My parents dont have enough money to fund me, Neither I want to pressurize them. I am completely baffled at this point whether I should Think of Ms in Us or not.
@pavankumargaming9014Ай бұрын
Don't worry, relax. Apply to universities in US and scholarships. You have a really high chance of getting fully funded masters as you are an engineering bg guy and you're from bits pilani. Focus on your application and fill the awards section with a good no. of awards and describe about the projects you did. Trust me, its best to take action rn and apply than regret later.

Build some savings of your own for 1-2 years and then go so that you are not taking huge loan. I have no doubt that you can potentially get jobs in US but given the H1B uncertainty, it can be wiser to build some savings first.

To work in CS field, you do not need to do a MS in CS. You can study yourselves or thru online media etc. any specific CS subject you like. If you are research oriented, then it is definitely worth doing a PhD in USA. Doing a MS is mostly worthless.

But I also have grown some interest in abroad masters in management or MS. I'll be giving my duolingo test tomorrow. Can you please give a very honest suggestion as to abroad masters in US/UK would be a good idea for me at this stage? And will I get some good job, given I stay dedicated to my course?

India is better than other countries don't trust these consultancy people at all. After all this lady is having a consultancy. So don't trust anyone. They will get huge commissions from your tution fee. They are earning better than masters students in the name of study abroad consultancy. So be smart don't fall into the matrix

Nope, never taken any commissions. Told people they shouldn't apply if their profile is not good enough. And whatever I say, I say it openly using my own name and face. Its easier to throw shit from behind an anonymous Internet account anyway. So, please continue your job and I'll continue mine.
