My parents were Lucy and Ricardo - twin beds in the same room due to dad barely tolerating a sheet even in winter and mom covered up with multiple blankets. And one set of grandparents had separate rooms from early in their marriage, so we all grew up knowing sleep is imoortant no matter what you have to do to get it! Even if you sleep in the same bed, I think the European tradition of individual duvets makes a ton of sense!!
