This is right up my ally! Of course genetics play a role in hair growth. That’s number one. So always keep this in mind. But also, I think a lot of people misunderstand that it’s not about getting your hair to grow (all hair grows), it’s about retaining the length! So all these magic potions aren’t going to do anything for your hair if you still have poor maintenance practices that are causing your hair to break just as fast as it grows! Taking care of your ENDS is just as important as your scalp! ❤️ Both Beyoncé and Kenya BEEN draping and you can tell they take good care of their even when its in a protected state. 😍

Healthy hair and long hair is not genetics anybody can get their hair to grow if you take care of it when I first came from Jamaica my hair was too my butt I used to wonder why black women in this country here is so short and that's because they put relaxers and all these chemicals in their hair at a early age back in the 70s everybody in Jamaica had long hair if they did not they we're doing something wrong to their hair after going and get my hair relaxed because it was too nappy to control with the length and I had a hairdresser that over process my hair and my hair fell out but taking care of my hair and using the chibi powder I got my hair to re-grow back you can make up your own hair mask at home by using yeast onions and rice water to get your hair to grow back long

Long big naturual hair shuts them assumptioms right offf ! I can't wait to grow my hair that long so I can do that ! @Richard Byfield It doesn't always have to do with not liking your hair. Wigs and weaves protect the hair so that it has a chance to grow! Ethnic hair breaks and gets dried out very easily! Kenya Moore even said that breakage is what stops the hair from growing long - if you listened to that part . Beyonce must change her look often- imagine of she were to where the same hairstyle for months at a time. she would get dragged, So coloring and heat styling is required and that will destroy her hair. She has to weat wigs and wigs to protect her natural hair- if not her hair would not be that long

Beautiful Angelique Is hair texture determined by genetics? Genetic factors appear to play a major role in determining hair texture-straight, wavy, or curly-and the thickness of individual strands of hair. Studies suggest that different genes influence hair texture and thickness in people of different ethnic backgrounds.

@Kay YouI was also sceptical before, but weaves does provide protection, it doesn't work if people leave their hair uncared for. I started wearing weaves about 8 months ago to give my bra strap length, real hair a break and the last time I went to the salon, the hairdressers retrieved pictures of my previous length for comparison. My hair had grown faster and is now mid-back length in that space of time. I have never been able to retain that amount of length to see massive growth before. That's why I now know that Black hair is *really* delicate and needs babying. It's adverse to constant manipulation or being left unprotected to the elements.

Wow! Its come to this? Blk people not having hair ,to the point ,We have to show case it? When did any other cultures of women did this? I do believe that blk women can grow their hair however, I think they just need to know how! How about sharing that information, instead of wanting to stand off as the blk woman that has long hair. As we recall it wasn't always that way, so the secret of hair growth should be the information!

I think growing your hair healthy and long all comes down to your hair regimen because everyone’s hair grows, some faster or slower than others, but it grows. But you need a healthy hair regimen to make sure you stop breakage, brittleness or dry hair so that you can retain & grow length.

I tell them all the time we have the same genes and just stop frying and dying. I changed the way I took care of my hair and it’s now dramatically different. I used Kenya product line and it’s good. I just have a pet peeve about the conditioner. The conditioner has no slip to it. That’s just a personal thing I look for in conditioners. Overall her products are actually good.

I was so glad to see Beyonce's mom still involved in her daughter's happenings. A few years back I had seen a documentary on Beyonce's life when with Destiny's Child, and they told how her mother made their outfits. And I thought how so very nice of her mother to do this, and how incredibly smart she was to have skills to do that. I also was hoping her mother would continue to be apart of her happenings, just to keep an eye on things. I'm from the old school, and we watch out for ours. I never even questioned Beyonce's hair being her. She just always looked fabulous at concerts so what I got to be looking at her roots for. Plus she always had a superstar status, even as a teen, that she could've had the moon sitting on her head and it wouldn't matter. But I'm glad her mom posted this clip for the haters and naysayers so they can SEE and get out of her hair. Kenya Moore another forever beautiful woman and yes there is a similarly in her and Beyonce. Kenya you have a very good hair care line. Look like you might be our present day Madame C.J.Walker, the first originator of black hair care products. The best of success with it. And thank you both for what you've added to the entertainment industry. God bless us all
