Thanks for your video, as always, very informative. In case you have installed Flight Simulator 2024 on another hard drive, which is my case, the Community folder is always in the same place as yours. The Community folder is installed in the default location, the C drive.

I installed 2024 in a different location and the Community folder is in the user appdata on the C drive.

On my Fs 2020 that i have on drive D all of my addons that I moved to that community in C: ( I had it on C : too) didn’t work. Ms2020 fsers helped me to find the right community folder. Mine was on D: where I did the installation not the one in C.

Can I install the sim out of the system partition and the rolling cache and all the mods as well?

I'm not 100% certain I know with 2020 if you try to install it on a non system partition it would still put of the software on your main drive and because most of this is streamed I don't know how they do that

Thks for the video friend ! i got an issue with fsuipc installation, before my sim started and the fsuipc, that not happen with fs2024, it says that "cannot determine location of your UserCfg.opt file. The WASM and Auto-start components cannot be installed", how to fix that please ?

It may still be on the c drive if not it's on the drive you installed to

boss, question, I was able to find the community folder but I installer 2024 on a different ssd and I see it there, but if my community is showing on the drive default then how I be using the ssd dedicated for 2024? thanks

You may want to check and see if you also have a community folder on your other SSD because what I've seen in the past is it will be on your drive that you downloaded to but then it will play shortcuts on your C drive and you may not have access to those

That most likely means you don't have access it's locked you may need to Grant yourself permission

If you installed your Sim on another drive you may also have the Community folder on that drive and then what it will do is put shortcuts on your C drive for it to run the program so check there and see if you have another Community folder on that location

@@2020fsers I think I’ve got it now. The padlock doesn’t seem to have actually prevented me from doing anything. It still allows me to edit the config file.

I thought MSFS 2024 was supposed load faster than 2020, this is not what I''m experiencing. It's been taking more than 30 minutes for 2024 to load. At first I thought it was because of the super high number of simmers trying to log -on at the same time, but now 3 days in, I don't think that's the case. I'm running on a very high end computer with a lot of NVME disc space and high bandwidth internet. AMD 58003D, 4090, 2 TB of NVME storage. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've watched numerous KZbin videos since the launch and no one has mentioned this as an issue, and what can I do to fix it??

Mine does not take that long but I think it definitely takes longer than 20/20 and I constantly get internet connection speed issues and blurry Textures in the cockpit I have to sit for probably 10 minutes just for all of the textures to pop inside the cockpit so that I can read buttons and things like that

lol so even with the new sim you still need a degree in computers and a lot of spare time to access the community folder and if it’s a steam purchase well I’m sure that will be a whole other video completely

I must be the only person on the planet where the microsoft.limiteless folder does not exist on my pc. I did a default install too.
