This clip is from the u.c. Engage game and the battle is between AEUG vs Titans & Earth Federation during Gryps War, the Zeta Gundam era, so about 9 years before Unicorn.

​@@WadeWadeReactsyes and no. For the most part it's a gatcha game. The clip is from the "event story" mode but since all of the event stories are down you can freely play them without playing the main game.

oh more gundam engage cutscenes. 0:34 Hi-Zack low output zaku. can't have heavy weaponry. 0:36 notification, you are missing body parts, shrapnel in your body, and you are burnt. 1:34 cyber newtype in a gundam is usually pretty good. 2:35 nemo is the aqua coloured grunt suit. The Engage gundam was doing all the damage 2:40 around one year war to zeta to double zeta timeline. 10 year long story of this person. uhhh this battle is zeta iirc.

As stated by other comments the Zaku-like MS are called Hizacks a Federation made Mobile Suit mainly used by Titans a sub-orginization of the Federation but the Federation do use them in a blue color scheme, the red MS are Marasai which are the successors of the Hizack. Meanwhile the Mainly green colored Ms their fighting is the Nemo a pretty great high-performance Mobile Suit that certainly was better than the Hizack and even more superior to the Marasai, next is of course the GM which specifically its the GM II! A pretty much modified GM which really doesn't offer much improvement and was pretty much outdated before the syart of the Gryphs Conflict. Finally we have the Gundam Type here, the Engage Zero is a relatively old MS from back in the UC 0082 but been heavily updated to modern standards and equipped with current weapons of the era and has INCOMs which are pretty much Wired-Bits.

Ah the Nemo is so underrated. It first appears in zeta gundam which speaking of which you should see the chips about the zeta gundam on the GundamUC channel

The thing with pilots ejecting is while in the UC from Zeta on they have the spherical cockpits that can eject they are often in the center of the machines body where if it has sustained catastrophic damage warranting them to bail either they would be too damaged to eject or not have enough time to. Or in the case of other series mobile suits are treated like tanks where the ejection system is open the hatch and jump which again takes time and assumes the machine and pilot are in good enough condition for them to bail.

@@theluckyloser I know some fans don't consider Thunderbolt canon while some do, but Io Fleming appeared to eject out of his GM. Ejection wasn't common, but I think the technology was present before Zeta. I could be wrong though, so feel free to correct me, lol.

@@WadeWadeReacts I haven't really watched thunderbolt so it's a bit of a blank spot for me but I believe they had the core block system in the GMs and FA-78 which could jettison the top half of the machine and the core block could eject, though I think it was only meant to be used that way if they had a core fighter installed. However, I would think it was very impractical for the amount of the machine had to be removed from it first. In the middle of a fight you'd probably get shot down while trying to purge the parts first. The Zeta style ones however where much smaller and could jettison much quicker and with more force so get clear easier .

I think during this battle the pilot of the engage zero, Peche Montagne did not kill any of the enemy pilot's, only targeting the limbs and head of the enemy mobile suit's, leaving the pilot alive in the torso of the mobile suit

yeah, it's a mobile game. Looks like crap but I guess that's pretty common with this stuff. Still they do a lot of these games where they get the original animation team to make cinematics for whatever the game was based around so that's cool. I think IBO had one like this too.
