Exactly the same thing happened to us on a mini cruise last summer with MSC . You are dead right when you say that there are too many people on board for the ship to be able to handle . Had you two had the full safety drill experience that we had then I think you would both be fully aware that if the ship was in really serious trouble the chances of getting off safely would be slim. We have been very lucky to have sailed with over a dozen different cruise lines over the years and can honestly say that MSC are without a doubt the worst cruise line bar none. A tragedy waiting to happen. We love your vlogs and always have a laugh watching especially when Mel puts you in your place Marcus 😂 A very Happy New Year to you both.

Hi, we would not book another MSC cruise. We were thinking the same thing, if anything serious happened on the ship how they would get everyone off safely.

Thanks for this video. Been watching a few about deciding whether to try a cruise. Definately wouldn't book msc cruises at all. We would want a lot quieter ship and I wouldn't like inside cabin. I like to see out of a window at least.

I've been to Hamburg, going again next week. I'm looking forward to the Christmas markets. I love Rotterdam. The last time I went there it was far too hot to walk anywhere. I got a water taxi to the harbour and walked a few minutes to the Market Hall and the Cube Houses. Those water taxis are speedy. Rotterdam is such an interesting place.

Did you not know that many are disembarking and embarking in each port? Not everyone onboard is getting off to visit Hamburg. It's my dream to visit Christmas markets and cruise again on MSC Euribia. We've also cruised Royal Caribbean and Carnival so can compare different lines. Can't wait to cruise MSC World Europa this year! I say make the most of it to all those listening to the complaining

Different ships, different opinions. Is it really complaining when you are overcharged and get sick. As stated in the video, some people love MSC but we didn't.

Hello from the States. Overcast, snowy and cold while onshore after cruising on an overcrowded ship doesn’t sound like a good time. I got food poisoning while traveling thru China. Not a pleasant experience being sick and far from home so I sympathize with Mel. Hope she has fully recovered. Going to watch your new Marcus Walks video now. Hope there are no misadventures in that one. Looking forward to more videos in 2024 (pub lunches are my favorite but they are all entertaining). Have a Merry Christmas and stay safe and be well.

Thank you for your MSC info, hopefully Mel was fully covered before Le Havre. You have helped us make our decision about cruising with MSC. And we are looking forward to booking our next P&O cruise. How did you find the buffet crowding? I've seen a few reviews from this cruise and a few people have said it gets quieter if you can find a seat well away from the food.

We didn't find it quiet, the only time it was any quieter was lunchtime in port. The buffet just didn't seem big enough compared to other ships.

I cannot see how you are blaming MSC so much. Its a shame getting ill onboard obviously but there was lots of encouragement to wash hands etc , plenty of sinks and alcohol sprays which helped to protect

@@ajsadventures3241 As we said in the video, we understand how people can have very different experiences. Apart from the illness, we found the attitude to onboard to safety lacking, being overcharged, and spending nearly 4 hours on a bus for a trip of less than 40 minutes. These are just a few of the issues over the trip. Many people didn't have this, we understand, but we did. I don't know why some people are so brand loyal. If you like MSC, good, we're glad but it's not for us and we would be lying if we said we would recommend them. I don't know why when someone is sick they seem to be attacked and accused of being a moaner, where's the empathy online?

Maybe they weren’t charged for an excursion they didn’t book and was told we must have or got food poisoning or spent over 2 hours 45 getting to Rouen from the meeting time as the bus driver got lost and then stuck on a street with bollards?
