I get the vibe the cruise was cheap but mine was not. Though I had a great time on our recent sailing, Aug 18-25. Service, food, vibe, games and the attention to details was above and beyond what I expected. I would never have gotten a drink package through Royal let alone three balcony rooms for my family for a great value. MSC has won me over and will sail with them again. Forget all the bad reviews and sail with MSC!

Great video! We took the late dinner option so it will be interesting to see what time slot we get and you telling us how long it takes to get across the ship was excellent - now we can plan a successful strategy for getting to dinner ahead of our slot so that we get seated on time! And thank you for the price of the Mexican restaurant- I definitely want to eat there so being able to budget that in advance is great! Oh and knowing there is a crepes place - yeah I’ll have to hit that up too! 😂 All around very informative and excellent video - thank you so much!

​@nile7014 You have to pay 5 dollars if you want an extra lobster. Everything else on the menu is free. Eat as much as you would like.

I am glad you enjoyed the video. Drink packages are worth it if you drink at least 5 or 6 alcoholic drinks per day. If you drink less than that, I would suggest prepaying for a case of water in your room and buying the rest ala carte.

The food looks fantastic, and the ship interior is beautiful, bright and modern. However, I don't like set dining times at all since I tend to be spur of the moment when it comes to when I want to eat. One of the reasons I like Celebrity is the anytime dining. I will note that as a solo cruiser I have done faux booking attempts on the MSC website and find that often the result will be no cabins available. I can then go back to the previous web page, adjust the guest number from 1 to 2, and then there are plenty of cabins to choose from. 🤔 At some point I will give them a try, but not out of Florida where I live since the price point and shorter cruises attracts a crowd I prefer not to sail with. I don't mean to sound judgmental; I just prefer a quieter setting and less children. It certainly looks inviting though.

I tell people, MSC is GOOD, they won't blow you away with anything, but you won't be overly disappointed with anything.

There is free ice cream but gelato costs extra. I did not see any frozen yogurt on my cruise.

Sorry but my MDR experience was not like yours. Almost every dinner had a dry, overcooked protein, which was especially disappointing when I had fish. Dining room breakfast was always served at room temperature. That said, I loved my msc cruise and would definitely sail on the Meraviglia again. She's a real beauty.

I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the food. MDR can be a hit or miss depending on how busy they are. I noticed that going earlier or later in the dinner service had better results. When did you go on your cruise? Did you try any of the other restaurants? I'll be sure to include your feedback in my overall review coming out in 2 weeks.

Nobody likes everything. The food is great. I paid 300.00 U.S. DOLLARS for one dinner at Kobe bar and grill in Orlando and I didn’t like it. Left my plate full. 5:07 Serial complainer’s usually can’t fry an egg and eat fast food and processed crap all the time.

I had dinner at Kobe in Vegas. It was around 500 USD for 2 people. Insanely expensive but quite good. I am sorry to hear you had to leave your plate full. That should not happen when you pay that much.

I must be a weirdo because I'd rather they put extra effort into the buffet and eliminate the main dining rooms all together. Seems like there's a half dozen reasons going to the dining room is more annoying.

I know a lot of people who share your opinion. I love the idea of putting more effort into the buffet. However, there are many who prefer traditional dining experience.
