Thank you for making and sharing these vids! Javelins are indeed very effective high tech weapons with impressive damage range from grounded/stationary to moving flying objects. I still have some fins from the last javeline I fire in Iraq in 06. Had a sniper shooting through a keyhole and I couldn't get a shot on him. The javeline went right through the keyhole and sheared the fins off. I kept 2 fins front and rear, sent a fin and casing pieces each to the gold star families of the fallen soldiers the sniper connected with, and pieces of the casing to those that were wounded.

Brilliant video! Can you do one for the NLAW as well?
@vivekkaushik95082 жыл бұрын
It'd be almost similiar. NLAW is mainly Top attack Anti-tank guided missile. Javelin seems more useful to me with its wide variety of usecases.
@Senyrar2 жыл бұрын
@@vivekkaushik9508 looks too bulky and cumbersome to be a real use in a war, nlaws look built for war.
@rockmcdwayne17102 жыл бұрын
@@Senyrar NLAW is quite a bit more simpler system than Javelin, it also has much shorter range than Javelin. One of the great benefits of NLAW is that, its almost 10 times cheaper than Javelin. If im not mistaken then, NlAW's missile flies above the tank and shoots the explosive force downwards while Javelin missile actually impacts the target therefore Javelin has quite a bit more penetrative power. All that being said, Javelin is better in most aspects. More range, more penetrative power, fire and forget missile. BUT... if you can get 10 NLAWS for the price of 1 Javelin, that are enough to take out a tank anyway... you see where im getting with it?
@profacecreator38102 жыл бұрын
@@rockmcdwayne1710 Problem is that the javeling in longer range than that of the NLAW will generally hitthe side of the armor instead of the top, making penetration almost impossible. I'd 100% choose a Kornet-M over both the NLAW and Javelin.
@rockmcdwayne17102 жыл бұрын
@@profacecreator3810 Where do you take the fact that it will hit the side of a tank when its designed to hit the top. Its the sole reason why the missile flies up high and then comes down on the target. It is also the reason why its not all that great in an urban environment where you lack the room for the missile to perform these tasks. In urban environment NLAW's are actually better because they are more compact and simpler to operate in tight spaces.

Awesome explanation, I don't get one thing: at 4:35 you talk about the night vision sight filter that "prevents enemy detection". What is it exactly and how can the enemy spot the sight?
@tmnt399811 ай бұрын
The IR detectors can be cooled and uncooled types. Later in the video he mentions that the thermal sights on the command control unit is cooled to lower temperatures. (Also the one in the rocket aswell) The cooling of the detector is used to maximize the difference between the temperatures, what makes the detection unit very sensitive but the very cold detector inside can be then detected with another IR device.
