I agree 110%. Why with all the deep history of this university would you stop calling yourself "The Box". These cadences were started in the mid 70's and the drum section was originally called "Mac Funk Box", hence "The Box".

A feature...is "a moment" to display discipline, showmanship, with some..... ta-dow with stick strokes!!! I won't remember what y'all did the other day...but I still remember the shake them haters move...and the spinning cymbol players...the feature has to be quick ...solid...and on point and making the crowd want more....you guys take too long manuevering...getting set up ....the SNARES, need to be dead center- choppin'.(tight , precise, strokes)...the tom-toms and quartz to each side...basses to the back...cymbols are the enhancers to assist ,yet being flashy/ twirling...establish an order for our sights👀👀.....be quick and flashy for our attention span...and have a groove that we can relate to....some cadences sound chaotic, sounds like an inner battle, and the crowd doesn't understand them...when you lose the crowd , you lose the battle.....you have to "Delight" the crowd....with a simple groove....and nice moves...ex: pop lock a ripple...like when you put your sticks in front of you..and you tick tock in a wave motion all the way down the line... that's a crowd pleaser move.....Head/ plum movements are also effective, it enhances the choppin' ...adds a dramatic effect....and last INTENSITY !!! Put us on the edge of our seats instead of to sleep. ...Too Long....Boring..No Flash...not memorable.
