Does insurance cover it?
@JupiMeow4 жыл бұрын
@@andrewgarfield9898 I don't think so. Sometimes they'll cover part of it if you have Orthodontic coverage, but those tend to be once-in-a-lifetime policies. There is someone named jessaroo who was able to get her DNA appliance covered by her insurance by doing a sleep study to prove sleep apnea, going to an ENT to prove it's not a nasal issue, using a "test device" that shows that she benefits from the appliance, and then finally getting the appliance. I don't really know of other situations like that.

I have the opportunity to go for MSE but I’m still deliberating whether or not to. I have a very narrow, arched palate and have a history of breathing issues. I always wondered for years why it feels like something is ‘stuck’ in my nose. I also consistently have it block up randomly - I guess this must be down to having such a narrow nasal cavity. I’ve had a septoplasty which solved the issue slightly but I’m still having trouble sleeping at night etc. There are worries and concerns - but after watching your videos I’m wondering whether the positives will far outweigh the proposed negatives that may happen!

Is MSE and Rapid Maxillary (Palatal) Expansion and Surgically Assisted Rapid Palatal Expansion the same thing? Cause I found a place near me where they offer it (orthodontistlondon.co.uk/products/rapid-maxillary-palatal-expansion). I really wanna find a place that offers it here in London with a facial mask...

Nice vid Ron, was wondering if you saw significant lip width increase by increasing your Intramolar width since I was looking at your before after and wondering if the lip width increase was due to the agga or the MSE?
@shigwig97514 жыл бұрын
Squad idk man I really need to see someone who has actually done this verify this since I think both transversal and forward expansion of the maxilla would logically widen the lips. There is a procedure called a long side wing that is an osteotomy that widens the lips by stretching the skin outwards. The only real way to actually widen the mouth still seems to be eppleys surgery but more data is coming out that keeping each mouth corner sub 5 mm might not result in as much scarring as previously thought. But smart getting all maxilla issues out of the way first to get the functional/aesthetic benefit before messing with soft tissue fellow Lookism user
@shigwig97514 жыл бұрын
antonio ferreira well that’s my last resort my mouth width is slightly below average as of now so I’m suspecting maxillamaxxing should do it for me depends on how I feel plus stubblefrauding is always an option to cover up the scars or blame it on a fight
