One caveat to the charts is that they aren't available for all airports. For example, CYTZ, Toronto Island Airport, which has SIDs does not have any of the departures in the charts. That airport in the real world has scheduled airline traffic with turboprop aircraft like the Dash-8. For those flying smaller aircraft the Navigraph charts are still necessary for many airports. Therefore, the decision about keeping Navigraph for charts should be based on the type of flying one is doing, or they type of charts one prefers to have access to. I like airliner flying, but also doing shorter flights in aircraft such as the Cessna 208 Caravan to smaller airports.

One other aspect that I don't think you mentioned, some payware do not use MS's navdata, at least on MSFS2020, and if you want to update them, you need a Navigraph subscription. You also need an active subscription to use the charts in the EFBs for those payware.

Now that 3rd party mod creators can utilize this MS in-game feature, I would expect them to make their payware and freeware aircraft work with this feature. There are multiple versions of many 3rd party aircraft, so somebody will do it, and it'll make their product that much more popular and downloaded.

Big plus for navigraph is that is an app also. You can plan flight from your mobile Phone or PC and also track your plane live via phone or PC.

You can "install" the Weblink of the planner website on your tablet too so it is basically a moving map and LIDO Charts App for free.

The new web based FS flight planner is actually very good. I prefer it to Navigraphs. Having the VFR/IFR choice on the second tab isn't great but that's my only complaint.

It's great if you like airliners. For GA they are almost useless because they don't support category A or B aircraft (< 121 kt stall speed). Plus, it only supports RPT airfields and has no VFR waypoints. So while it is very nice, for me, it is almost completely useless unfortunately.

I own the "professional" edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000, and the manual has Jeppesen charts for Tempelhof, Logan International, O'Hare International, Long Island Mac Arthur, Heathrow, Flying Cloud, JFK, Charles De Gaulle, Leonardo Da Vinci/Fiumicino, San Francisco Intl, Seattle-Tacoma Intl, King County International/Boeing Field, Space Center Regional, Narita, and finally Washington National airports. Not trying to be facetious, but charts have technically been included before, just not the entire world as you correctly point out 🙂

If you click the Briefing tab from the bottom of the MSFS planner it will generate an Operational Flight Planner similar to Simbrief!

Holding the flightplanning and FMS data subscription without charts does save on expenses. No longer having to rely on bookmark collections for countries or Chartfox like services is nice. Since you can import the Navigraph database into LNM and verify procedures there, the chartless subscription plan on Navigraph has become much more attractive by convenience.

2024 also have FAA charts as well and Now that Navigraph has added a simbrief application to the 2024 tablet is freaking awesome. You dont need to leave the sim to create a plan i hope ivao and vatsim add apps to the tablet as well like fileing a flight plan from the tablet and the overall vpilot/attitude application move to the tablet

Figured out Mini FCU and Throttle quadrant setup in MSFS 2024 for the Fenix A320 make sure Mini FCU simlink is copy and pasted from 2020 Community packages to 2024 Comunity packages and FSUIPC 7 is running on your PC. Also in the Throttle quadrant make sure you have Throttle axis on and throttle axis 0 to 100% set for each throttle on the settings then you can set them up in the MCP. No need to fiddle with the axis settings... These charts really are great but I will still be subscribing to Navigraph to keep up to date with simbrief as it it still very useful.

9:30 "few months ago" Navigraph acquired SimBrief early 2021. Do you know as fact that Asobo/LIDO is going to update MSFS with monthly AIRAC updates? MSFS 2020 AIRAC updates were quarterly at best.

Big thing for using sim brief for me especially with the compatible aircraft is the fuel planning. I am not well versed enough to translate that to fuel loads in the in sim planner. One more thing could you do a video detailing vias/transitions I never know when or how to use them correctly and have ended up with a few whacky flight plans. cheers

I use SayIntentions ATC program…in order to do IFR with SI they require SB. Hopefully one day SI will read the default EFB flight plans…

the question will be, on which update interval will the charts be updated to the current airac. within FS2020 the airacs have been roughly updated about every 3 months, so about 4 times a year. updating the charts as well on this timely basis would be acceptable for me, as it will be free. however vatsim code of conduct requires the most recent airacs.

The problem is that when you want to send the plan you made from the tablet to avionics, if it is an inibuilds airplane (A320, A330, etc.) it does not work. If it works with the Asobo (Boing) I hope they fix it soon

I still can't even load onto the menu. It just gets stuck at 98% and then I get bored of waiting and play something else. Then for the few times I have got into the menu I also get a seemingly infinite loading when I try to load up a free flight. It's truly dreadful right now.

Navigraph should have a AIRAC only update which allows the latest AIRAC to be avilable on Simbrief with no charts at a reduced rate, Maybe charge $5 a month for Simbrief with the latest Airac is the way to go. People can just use the LIDO charts then.

This option exists but they've just made it unnecessarily difficult to find. I could only find it once my subscription expired. There's just a bit of text on your dashboard saying "Get a Navigation Data subscription". There is only an annual subscription which is about 30 euros.

Well, the problem atm is that MSFS2024 and LIDO all the SIDTP procedure charts are missing. SIDTP is the chart where the text description of the SID is described (e.g. initial climb). I really hope that it will change soon, because I definitely prefer LIDO over Jeppesen...

What I really like in Navigraph is the display of all procedures whereas in FS it's a list which is not easy to chose from. Is it worth a monthly subscription ? Not sure. Let's see what Navigraph will do !

When in 2024 they gave us many things THE COMMUNITY asked for You really need to check your facts about them and not YOUR OWN version of the truth, because let's face it. I personally prefer the Lido charts over Jeppesen, so I was sad when Navigraph made the switch to the latter. Seeing the Lido charts in MSFS 2024 is awesome indeed. I, however, will keep my Navigraph subscription for two reasons. I’m going to wait a while before using MSFS 2024. The game felt like it was in a late alpha/early beta test phase. Not ready for release for sure. The other reason is that I’m mainly using X-Plane. The tablet does look awesome. I do prefer having this info and functionality on a secondary screen. Would be great if they released a way to get the in-game tablet onto an iPad or some other real tablet, via either an app or a browser.

It's "worldwide" as long as you fly between larger airports - for smaller ones, such as some smaller airports in Vietnam for example, they don't exist.

Its not worldwide, it uses a database that is well suited for us and some international places. But no minor airports and not generally obscure airports. It doesnt have Kabul for example…

I Think Navigraph is Amazing for the Price of a Large Costa Coffee per Month i Feel is Brilliant. The New Vatsim and IVAO Live Traffic Feature is Just Jaw dropping. They use their Airport Chart and you can Clearly See what Gate is Free and u Never Spawn on top of Somebody else which is so annoying when People Spawn on u when you are Setting up. I Will Never Leave Navigraph i think they are a Must have if you Fly real world Flight's.

The iniBuilds Airbusses are still missing this awesome feature in the EFB! I have already created 10 or so PERFECT flight plans using airways, carefully avoiding all restricted no-flight-zones, but unfortunately the iniBuilds Airbusses only have Simbrief-stuff in the EFB.

This is highly frustrating because if you have a TCA Captain X Airbus edition, you will want to fly……airbus aircrafts and use the EFB. However currently the peripheral doesn’t work well with airbus aircrafts in the game which are all by inibuild and neither does the EFB. Furthermore there is no A320Neo by Asobo as an alternative.

I have been using some of the charts included in MSFS2024 and it seems that there are some charts that are old, some I have seen that say “effective 2-Nov-2023” for example, I don't know if the charts are going to be updated to the most recent AIRAC

In those aircraft that don't have an EFB designed into the cockpit you have to press TAB to recall one and while all that is good you can not move it around the cockpit, it's just right in front of you! Moreover, you cannot interact with it! It doesn't respond to either VR beam or the mouse. Great! Awesome!
