The default binding for "run" is the space bar. You should check that of course.

Thanks Mike. They have a bunch of issues with MSFS 2024, but it gets better with every update. Today I couldn't turn the aircraft on the ground at times!

@@HiHoSilver-xn5rx always great to hear from you. I think that MSFS is going to be great. Like MSFS 2020, it stumbled out of the gate, but it’s gaining its footing. The generic EFB, with full Sim Brief download capability is very cool. It only takes up 50 GB. I bought the Aviator edition, but the Standard is more than enough.

Great video: Small bit of feedback from a sound engineer: Your Say Intensions ATC volume and your game volume are pretty loud and your own mic is pretty quiet, and you keep talking on top of the ATC (which I appreciate is tricky when you're in busy airspace), but the net effect is I basically can't hear what you're saying and it just becomes a mountain of noise and voices talking on top of each other. If you could turn your mic up a little, try to avoid talking on top of the ATC, and turn the ATC down a little, then I think everything would be more in balance.

Hi captain, Thanks for that video. I am new to MSFS 2024 and to the Boing 787-10 as well which is included, so I have to learn a lot. Perhaps my question maybe a very basic one: How do you manage it to get the GPWS announcments, like Minium, 100, 50, 40 and so on. Do I need seperate addon plugins or is MSFS 2024 capable of doing this on its own? I can not hear these announcments so far. Thanks for your advice.

Yes it is, and you’re correct about the fuel and passengers through the tablet. However, the FMC has that capability on this aircraft.

Would you say this is comparable to the 2020 version? I recently picked up the PMDG 737-600 *and* -800, so I'm becoming obsessed with Boeings. 😂 Tempted to get the 2020 Premium Deluxe just for this.....or would it be worth it to wait until the 2024 Marketplace opens up?

From a non-pro's point of view, this was a great plane in 2020 (especially for a default). My only criticism is the sounds. They seem pretty lacklustre to me. This could really benefit from a Boris Audio Works sound pack, but I suspect he won't make one, because Bluebird Simulations are going to be doing a study-level 787 pack after the 757 and 767, and he's been doing sounds for them. My question to you is, how is this different from the 2020 version? Would you say that the ground handling and flight model have improved? I suspect that is the main area of change as everything else was pretty good before.

I think that it is better than the MSFS 2020 787 from a flight and taxi point of view. I look forward to being able to download the flight plan directly from Sim Brief, but the stock MSFS 2024 EFB is kind of cool as well.

I hope next time you can hand-fly the 787 until at least FL100 with manual trimming. Engaging AP just 37 seconds after rotation, at only 1280 feet AGL, doesn't show the true colour of this default plane. The same old sudden dive kicked in when auto descent began. From the final approach, I can still see the oscillation which is really annoying. Given all this, this is far from being OK, let alone awesome.

@@bizarre9301 I’ll do that. It was pretty darn stable on final while being hand-flown. I can fly the airplane hand-flown for the entire flight, but that’s not what I’m here to demonstrate. These airliners are meant to be flown using the automation. There’s absolutely nothing to be proven by hand-flying until 10,000 feet; but I’ll do it for you.
