Shift+C doesn't do anything other than put you in the cockpit AFTER the cutscene. It doesn't skip anything.

Could you tell me why my airspeed tops at 360knts with this aircraft. My speed allowance seems to fluctuate with attitude but tops out at 360 at 25k ft.

Would be much better to allow ALL licensed users to download and try out the beta version, then there would be a larger number of testers, not just a few. Makes for a much better product when finally released. Stephen

Hey. Looks like a great rig. Hopefully your wife is more impressed than Amanda! LOL. I bought a new system last year with a 4080 graphics card and it made a huge difference. I live in London, so my home airport is Heathrow, which is similarly an FPS killer, like JFK. I haven't moved to 2024 yet, but plan to soon. Really hoping the better multi-threading will help remove the stutters at LHR. Regarding your settings, I noticed you turned Dynamic Settings off, while also saying you had to turn down from Ultra to High at Kennedy. I'm not really sure why that other commenter recommended you turn dynamic off, because basically it's like the Auto FPS program that used to exist for 2020. It dynamically turns down your settings to try and maintain a consistent FPS. Therefore if you set a target of say 30 FPS, but have your settings at Ultra, it will automatically back them down in intense areas like NYC and then turn them back up to Ultra when the system load reduces as you leave the area. I would highly recommend getting an FPS counter, so that you can objectively judge your performance, and then play around with some of the graphics settings, especially that Dynamic settings one. I would also highly recommend watching this video by SimHangar: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJbLm3yOnah9pJY. It's long, but he covers every setting in detail and I'm sure it'll help you get the best out of your new rig.

Lets hope that works well for a few years yet. This is the price we pay to achieve sim greatness.

try lowering also trees, waves, grass rocks settings.. They usually are heavy on frames

I have the exact same build. You should expect about 100fps plus with frame gen on or off

Put everything on Ultra but watch your CPU and GPU temperatures. I maxxed out my previous computer temps but the new one has not gone over 160 F. Nice warm air out of the top fans though helps heat the room in winter. I think the liquid cooling system removes at least 50 degrees F of the heat generated when flying the sim. Put a digital thermometer on top of your PC tower. I see 108 F.

Made the switch to PC in May and was blown away! Series X was enjoyable but that thing hasn’t been turned on since. Enjoy the new build and the buttery smooth performance. Don’t be afraid to use all of your gpu, you paid for it after all!

The NYC area has been hard on all flight sims since forever. Three large airports are close together, plus the city and all the surrounding scenery. Add payware scenery and traffic, and it is brutal on any PC. If you have smooth flights to any NYC airport, you're living the dream!

Your comment " Don't try this at home--unless you have a wife who is not going to leave you" says it all. I feel the pain. I am lucky for now that my wife does not say much with my FS Hobby, but she has questioned a few of the packages that arrived on the porch for new gear. ;) . If worse come to worse--may have to ship my stuff to a P.O. Box. Quite a setup you have----still waiting on getting FS2024, maybe around XMAS when I have some time to figure it all out. I currently have a rig similar to your old specs---so watching your videos with the new rig will help me decide if I take the plunge a get a new rig too with upgraded specs. Hi Father Time, woohoo Happy Christmas...............I bet your new PC is from Santa really..............Looks like a monster, although I am interested to see what you think once up and running. Flight Sim is really hard on PC's and the new one I think even more so.............I know they have moved away from all the work being done by the CPU "Central Processing Unit", and now it is the GPU "Graphics Processing Unit" which is most critical. My old FSX sim used to require more CPU power than GPU power, so things sure have changed round over the years. I might well use your specs as a guide when I get to the point of buying my next PC! Oh are you sure KZbin won't get upset you showing that movie clip, they could demonetise your channel! I hope not. All the very best and happy faster flying, Dave.

Now that you have Nvidia 4xxx series video card, you can enable DLSS frame generation. Essentially, this will use AI to double your frame rate. With these new specs you will be running everything on Ultra (msfs2024).

When GSX locks up on me, I do an "Alt" + "Enter" to put MSFS into windowed mode. I have FS2020 still but it is probably the same for FS2024. Go to the bottom right corner of the screen to the system tray. Right click on the "Couatl" and restart it. It looks like a green snake to me but who knows... It will restart GSX and you don't have to restart your sim. Anyway, I hope that helps when there are future issues with GSX.

How do I make SimBrief always be in the game's Favorite EFB? It disappears in my settings after each flight and I have to add SimBrief to the EFB again... The settings in the EFB also reset themselves after each flight, how do I make them permanent? THX

Have you got multiple devices attempting to control things like your rudde? Ive found ive had to spend alot of time going though keyboard, pedals, yoke etc disabling all the default setups, so only 1 device controls the rudder/taxi steering
