Thanks for the helpful guidance on sensitivity. Finally understanding a bit more. Hard to find info on this without folks like you helping out.

Now this is so helpful! Of all the FS videos, I find this answers the baffling (no manual) sensitivities. You’re an excellent and knowledgeable presenter! You sound like scientist Phil Plait 🥰

Very helpful video. I was using the same yoke profile config for a Cessna and M20R Ovation and it was causing me a lot of frustration when flying the Ovation. I did mess with the settings a bit but not knowing what they all meant made it pretty difficult. Using your video I was able to get the Ovation configured in about 10 minutes using a new profile. What a pleasure it is to fly now. My biggest issue was getting my brakes too work but your video gave me a clue. I have MFG Crosswind pedals and they were not getting full range of motion so I had a devil of a time stopping any plane. I figured something was wrong after watching this video and seeing the bar go all the way to the top which mine was not doing. The out of box config comes with a 10% dead zone at the end of travel so just an FYI to anyone with the MFG pedals. You need to use the MFG calibration utility first before you set them up in MSFS. Anyway, great job man and thanks for taking the time. AE

Incredibly helpful video! Great to be shown the logic behind the control settings. Just used this to dial in my Xbox controller (it was waaayyy too twitchy) and it's much more enjoyable to use now.

This really helped. Especially correcting a single prop tendency to drift left and dive in MS FSim (using my joystick anyway). Using the neutral points, I was able to get the aircraft to stay straight and level without using any trim.

Watched the whole thing. Very useful! Thanks so much. Now, how about a similar video on throttle/prop axis sensitivities? I have Thrustmaster Airbus Quadrants with the reversers. It gets pretty tricky and requires separate sensitivities for jet, piston and turboprop. Thanks again!

Great video. you mentioned heli a couple of times, which I'm more interested in. Would be good if you did a small updated video just on flying a G2 heli or the 407. I got a lot from the pitch examples you were showing, more interested in the one you mentioned for helicopters.

OK. First, glad you did this. It has been desperately needed, especially since MS/Asobo don't provide much documentation on MSFS. Question: You mentioned early on you will probably need a different sensitivity setting for each type of airplane. Does this mean you are using a different profile for each specific aircraft type (such as the 172, Bonanza, Baron, Citation, etc.) or do you use different ones for general aircraft type such as single piston, jet, turboprop, etc.?

Have you thought about cleaning the pots in you rudddr pedal? Sounds like the potentiometers are dirty. Get some electrical contact cleaner and spray some in to the pot and then work it in both directions a few time. It may take a few times for it to get more then acceptable and should buy somemore life out of them.

BRAKE AXIS & REVERSE THRUST/PROPS for Thrustmaster TWCS Throttle's YAW This is what I have been wanting for quite a while now and then I cracked it. At first it was obvious to check if both LEFT & RIGHT BRAKE AXIS can combine to the same...they do but the middle is always at 50%. So how to tune this from just the Sensitivity Settings: (it was not the obvious way to do it). If you want your Index/Middle fingers to operate this with Z+ it doesn't as I found out. However, it does work for your Pinky Finger for Z- but you must set both to REVERSE else it does not work trying it all the opposite way for it all. Sensitivity- = 0 Sensitivity+ = 100 Dead Zone = 18 Neutral = -30 Extreme Dead Zone = 0 Reactivity = 100 Just what you need with sudden 1/2 Power then graded to Full.

i have a logitech 3d pro and it works fine on any aircraft in msfs except the pmdg dc 6b , i have no pitch control and it crashes and i cant pull it up. Ailerons are very sluggish so im guessing its in the x y and z settings. Do you have a vid for this or bigger plane settings. This joystick works fine for 747 by the way.

I wish they would make all of the control settings universal to work on all aircraft, I know having elevator axis pitch sensitivity set to.. let's say +/- 25% will work fine for the Beechcraft 58 Baron, but for some reason it's way too sensitive for the Beechcraft Bonanza or the Cessna 172. I know you can create a separate settings profile for every aircraft in the simulator but it's a hassle because you need to select the settings profile for the aircraft you're flying.

I have paddles on my throttle for rudder. Everyone think looks centered in sensitivity however when I take off I have to apply almost full left rudder to keep the plane on the runway. This is with all of the planes in the game. It completely drags me off the right side of the runway

Do you mean you need to apply "right" rudder (not "left")? If so, it's because it is a perfect simulation of this physical phenomenon (combined with the torque effect): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slipstream#Spiral_slipstream
@mattywest8019
@mattywest8019 Жыл бұрын
Highly recommend flight school it explains this. You have to apply right rudder to compensate for the torque generated by the engine(s)

Just got my Bravo a couple weeks ago and the throttle/prop/mix all did not work at all. Cleared em out and rebound and they now register but not correctly. It turns my axis into a button rather than a sliding axis. The white bar disappears and the reverse axis box disappears and treats the lever like an on off switch. Can't find anyone having this issue either. Rebinding doesn't work past the initial issue of not registering at all. Sensitivity shows the levers sliding like they should so it's not the hardware. When I get home I might play with sensitivity settings and see if I get around bug ( kinda like rebinding). Idk.....anyone?

My issue is with my joystick(Thrustmaster TI6000) twist (Z axis) for rudder/steering control. The twist sensitivity settings seem to work ok when viewing the graph, but when taxiing, I twist left to turn left and nothing happens... nothing happens... a little more twist and suddenly the plane veers left and locks there. It doesn't return to neutral when I relax the joystick (numeric 5 resets to neutral). Because of this issue, I generally taxi using aileron with the rudder linked which is doable but not realistic. Is there a joystick setting to correct that? This is a fairly new joystick. This happens with any of the planes I fly. BTW, it's not just left... same thing turning right. Appreciate any help. Subsequent update : I have learned that you don't set the control on "Rudder Right", or Rudder Left", or "Rudder axis Right", or "Rudder axis Left". Simply use the "Rudder Axis" control and map the joy stick accordingly.
