Very nice in-depth review on using the autopilot in the Arrow III. I think it's just as stable as the PA28 181 in flight, but there is a noticeable difference when taking off and landing. Maybe its my controller, but the Arrow III seems to have an abrupt nose up on rotation when taking off. I've found that if you add a couple of clicks of up trim before take off it really helps. As for landing, you're right; that third notch of flaps is like an airbrake. If you're not careful you can get too slow really quickly and drop like a rock. Overall I like this version of the Arrow III and I still fly it a lot. It's fun to play around with in bad weather conditions, too. I've made many successful landings in IMC situations with near zero visibility! I haven't really tried it in the 181 yet, but I'm sure it would be just as challenging if not more. Nice video! I agree 💯 the take off is way more abrupt when taking off. I have tried a little trim but will add some more but it is almost like it is stuck to the runway and you apply more back pressure and it will then sort jerk into the air. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

This has very similar avionics to the Carenado's PA-34 Seneca. Even the autopilot appears to be the same. I have the Seneca and the new PA-28 Archer II. I was debating between the Archer II and this Arrow, and I think I made the right choice. This video was very helpful. It helped me with the decision. This video is also a handy reference for how to use these systems. Thanks! I really like the Archer II. Like you say, it has a nicer cockpit. I think it's a pleasant aircraft to fly, and it is great for practicing basic flying. I got it because I haven't purchased MSFS premium deluxe (or whatever they call it) and I wanted something like the analogue version of the Cessna 172. The Archer II seems like a good substitute. I like flying it way more than I thought I would. I seem to like low and slow aircraft.

I think this was using the in game replay tool but I use Flight Control Reply for some of my videos.

This was using TrackIR and I strongly recommend it. Recently made the switch to VR so expect a video about that change with the pros and cons. Greetings from the US!

The s tech autopilot isn't the best. The new Garmins are by far the best, but expensive. The old King kfc 150 was very nice. altitude preselect and everything!
